St. Louis has won three straight games including a 3-2 overtime win against the Wild at home on Saturday night, as Backes scored his first two goals of the season, including the game-winner. The Blackhawks lost back-to-back road games last week in Winnipeg and Minnesota, and return to Chicago where they’ve won five straight games and host the Kings tonight.

The Blues have faced the Blackhawks more than any other opponent in their history (296), and NBCSN is scheduled to present the 300th meeting between the two teams on Wednesday Night Rivalry later this season on March 9. Chicago holds the advantage in the all-time series with a 142-112-35-7 record (W-L-T-OTL).

The Kings have been led offensively by Tyler Toffoli, who is tied for the league lead with nine goals in just 10 games. Jonathan Quick has led the way in net for Los Angeles, allowing two goals or fewer in six of his last seven starts.

This marks the first of three meetings between St. Louis and Los Angeles this season, after the Kings won two of three against the Blues during the 2014-15 campaign.
