DEW TOUR ANNOUNCES CHICAGO EVENT AND TELEVISION SCHEDULE

2015 Dew Tour Kicks off June 20-21 in Chicago, Ill.

Television Coverage of Dew Tour Chicago Begins June 20 at 2:30 p.m. ET on NBC

Skateboard and BMX Events to Take Place At Grant Park Skate Plaza

Burr Ridge, Ill. – June 4, 2015 – The Dew Tour kicks off the 2015 season by bringing the world’s best skateboard and BMX athletes to Chicago, Ill., for two days of competition, June 20-21. NBC Sports Group will present four hours of coverage on NBC and more than 10 hours across NBC Sports Live Extra and DewTour.com. Coverage begins Saturday, June 20 at 2:30 p.m. ET on NBC.

The Dew Tour returns to Chicago after a five-year hiatus, and will feature the successful streetstyle competition created by the Dew Tour three years ago. The event will take place at Grant Park Skate Plaza, and will include skate and BMX street and streetstyle competitions.

Sunday, June 21 coincides with international Go Skatboarding Day, and will feature special activities for local Chicago area skaters. The Dew Tour’s return to Chicago will be a celebration of the summer opening of the new Grant Park Skate Plaza. As part of the celebration, the Dew Tour will work with the Chicago Park District and Grant Park Conservancy to make improvements to the park.

Last year’s Dew Tour Brooklyn Champion Trevor Colden and Chicago native Chaz Ortiz lead an impressive roster of skaters confirmed for the weekend, while past Dew Tour BMX champions Dennis Enarsonand Garrett Reynolds join Chicago local Brian Kachinsky in a strong field of BMX riders. The Dew Tour Chicago is a free event and is open to the public. Event gates will open at Noon CT on Saturday, June 20. On Sunday, June 21, the gates will open at 10 a.m. CT.
