TWO-TIME PREAKNESS STAKES WINNER JERRY BAILEY: “The result should be the same as in the Derby, but the trips in the Preakness figure to be different because of the post position draw. Starting from the rail, American Pharoah probably goes right to the early lead this time.”
ANALYST RANDY MOSS: “In the Derby, American Pharoah had an outside post and proved to be the best horse despite losing ground on the turns. By comparison, breaking from the rail in the Preakness will almost be like a head start for him.”
