NBC SPORTS GROUP BEGINS THE WORLD’S LONGEST ROAD TRIP

NBC, NBCSN and CNBC 2015 Motorsports Coverage By The Numbers

Two Days Until Coverage of F1 Practice Begins on NBCSN, Friday at 12:30 a.m. ET

Stamford, Conn. – March 11, 2015 – In 2015, NBC Sports Group will present nearly 1,400 hours of motorsports coverage, including 800 hours of live coverage, from more than 70 races and 50 different tracks around the world. The robust coverage includes NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, IndyCar and Formula One, and more than 16,500 miles of racing. In addition, all three series championships will be decided on NBC or NBCSN.

To cover the world’s longest road trip, NBC Sports Group will use more than 172 cameras, 76 miles of cable, 16 mobile production units and a wide collection of other tools and resources.

Listed below are some key metrics about NBC Sports Group’s 2015 motorsports coverage. Live race coverage begins Sunday at 12:30 a.m. ET on NBCSN with the F1 Australian Grand Prix. In addition, NBCSN will provide live coverage of Australian Grand Prix practice and qualifying, beginning Friday at 12:30 a.m. ET.
