ORLANDO, Fla. (Feb. 3, 2015) – Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson highlight the field at the Farmers Insurance Open after missing the cut in the same event for only the second time as professionals last week. Dustin Johnson is scheduled to make his return to PGA TOUR competition after a six month layoff. Lydia Ko will make her inaugural start as Women’s Rolex Ranking’s World No. 1 at the Pure Silk Bahamas LPGA Classic, the first of four consecutive LPGA events to be played outside of the United States. The Champions Tour is in Boca Raton, Fla., for the Allianz Championship, the first of two consecutive weeks that the Tour will compete in Florida. And, the European Tour is in Malaysia, where Lee Westwood will defend at the Maybank Malaysian Open.

Woods, Mickelson, Fowler and Koepka press conferences to air at 2 p.m. ET Wednesday on Golf Channel: Golf Channel will air a Golf Central Special telecast at 2 p.m. ET on Wednesday from the Farmers Insurance Open media center featuring news conferences with Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Rickie Fowler and Brooks Koepka.

Johnson returns to competition after six month layoff: Dustin Johnson is scheduled to make his first competitive start on the PGA TOUR in six months, after taking time off to address “personal issues” in his life.

Woods and Mickelson look to rebound at a venue where each has multiple victories: Tiger Woods, eight-time winner at Torrey Pines, and three-time winner Phil Mickelson will look to rebound this week after missing the cut in the same event last week for only the second time as professionals.

Course configuration: The field will complete one round each at the Torrey Pines North and South courses on Thursday and Friday, and the South Course will host the remainder of the tournament for those making the cut on Friday.

Stallings defends: Scott Stallings earned a one shot victory to earn his third career PGA TOUR win.

Headlining the field: Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Dustin Johnson, Jordan Spieth, Justin Rose, Jason Day, Billy Horschel, Rickie Fowler, Keegan Bradley, Jimmy Walker and Brooks Koepka.

Ko making first start as Women’s Rolex Rankings World No. 1: Lydia Ko will make her first start as the new No. 1 player in the world, after claiming the spot with a T-2 finish at last week’s Coates Golf Championship in Ocala, Fla. Ko headlines a strong field that includes 20 of the top-25 in the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings.

LPGA begins stretch of four consecutive events outside of the United States: This week marks the first of four consecutive events scheduled outside of the United States for the LPGA Tour. After this week, the Tour will travel to Australia, Thailand and Singapore.

Korda defends: Jessica Korda finished one shot ahead of Stacy Lewis for her second career LPGA Tour win.
