More Than 500 Employees, 86 Cameras, 33 Miles of Cable and 12 Mobile Units

Stamford, Conn. – January 28, 2015 – NBC Sports’ coverage of Super Bowl XLIX begins Sunday, February 1 at Noon ET.  To kickoff and cover this year’s Super Bowl, NBC Sports will use a crew of more than 500 employees, 86 cameras, 33 miles of cable, 12 mobile units and a wide collection of other tools and resources.

In addition to live coverage of the game, NBC Sports will deliver more than six hours of pre-game coverage, and many NBCSN shows will report from Glendale, Ariz. during Super Bowl week.

Listed below are some key metrics about NBC Sports Group’s coverage of Super Bowl XLIX.

1 –                    ND1 – NBC Sports’ state-of-the-art, remote production unit designed and built by NEP. The Emmy Award-winning Sunday Night Football production team, led by Fred Gaudelli (coordinating producer) and Drew Esocoff (director), will use ND1 to produce Super Bowl XLIX.
