Rotoworld Takes Home Three Fantasy Sports Awards Including Fantasy Sports Trade Association Award For Best Content

Rotoworld, the internet’s highest-trafficked fantasy sports information site and the industry leader in fantasy sports information, took home three awards at the Fantasy Sports Trade Association’s winter conference on January 16 in Las Vegas, Nev. The publication won the FSTA Award for Best Content: Multiple Sports, in the web category for the second consecutive year, and third time overall. Rotoworld writer Aaron Bruski was named the Fantasy Sports Writers Association’s Basketball Writer of the Year, and Football Editor Evan Silva won the FSWA Award for Best On-Going Series with his weekly “Matchups” column on Rotoworld.com.

In addition, Matthew Pouilot, Executive Editor for NBC Sports Digital’s Rotoworld, was inducted into the 2014 FSWA Hall of Fame. Pouilot played an integral role in the development of Rotoworld.

NBC Sports Group Digital Sites Have Best Non-Olympic Month Ever in December

NBC Sports Group’s digital properties had their best non-Olympic month ever in December, with 38.9 million uniques, up 97% versus the prior year, according to multiplatform data released by comScore. Additional NBC Sports Group digital milestones for the month of December include:

  • NBCSports.com had its best month ever for the second consecutive month, delivering 21.4 million uniques, up 65%
  • Rotoworld.com delivered 3.1 million uniques, up 25%
  • The Golf Channel’s digital sites delivered 3 million uniques, up 60%
  • CSN Bay Area delivered 3.8 million uniques, up 296%
  • NASCAR delivered 2.4 million uniques, up 43%

As reported in the previous edition of Bytes, NFL, NHL, and Premier League boosted the Yahoo Sports – NBC Sports Network digital alliance to No. 2 among all sports digital sites in December with 66.5 million uniques and 3.4 billion minutes, up 26% and 18%, respectively, versus the prior year, according to multiplatform data released by comScore.
