Chicago, IL (January 13, 2015) — Comcast SportsNet, the television home for the most games and most comprehensive coverage of the Chicago Cubs, is ready to start up the highly-anticipated 2015 Cubs season in a big way with exclusive, LIVE Opening Ceremonies coverage from the 2015 Cubs Convention, which is being held downtown this weekend (January 16-18) at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers.

On Friday, January 16 beginning at 6:00 PM CT, Comcast SportsNet & CSNChicago.com will provide viewers with every thrill-packed moment of the convention’s opening ceremonies featuring introductions of Cubs players/coaches/front office executives, video montages and much more.  Comcast SportsNet’s 2015 Cubs Convention Opening Ceremonies coverage will be hosted by Cubs Pre/Post Game Live host/SportsTalk Live host David Kaplan.

In addition, a special “Cubs Convention” edition of SportsTalk Live presented by The Chevy Silverado will take place on the floor of the convention center beginning at 5:30 PM.  This special edition will feature Kaplan and a panel of Cubs baseball experts discussing the excitement surrounding the upcoming season, along with the key factors needed for success in 2015.  Plus, special guest interviews are also scheduled during the show.
