STAMFORD, Conn. – Dec. 30, 2014 – NBC Sports Group presents the first football of 2015 with a New Year’s Day tripleheader of Premier League action beginning at 7 a.m. ET on NBCSN. The  January 1 schedule features 10 Premier League matches and the first-ever Premier League Breakaway, a special two-hour show featuring RedZone-like live look-ins on the best action from all eight Premier League matches in the 10 a.m. ET window.

NBC Sports Group’s Breakaway program gives viewers the most compelling action in real time and on replay, including every goal in every match, so viewers won’t miss a single score or key play. Rebecca Lowe will guide the program as it cuts from match to match to follow the most important stories with minimal interruption.

At 5:30 p.m. ET, NBCSN debuts a new Premier League Download. Hosted by The Men in Blazers’ Roger Bennett, The Southampton Way investigates how a small club can compete with Premier League giants. It focuses on Southampton’s philosophy of youth development and explores how the club found success following their tumultuous summer. Bennett conducts exclusive interviews with Southampton manager Ronald Koeman, chairman Ralph Krueger and the head of youth development Les Reed.  The show also offers insight into life as an academy player and the pathway to the first team.

New Year’s Day coverage begins at 7 a.m. ET with Premier League Live followed by Stoke City facing third-place Manchester United and forward Robin van Persie at 7:45 a.m. ET.

The eight matches in Premier League Breakaway will feature several of the league’s top scorers, including Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez (10 goals, fourth-most in BPL) and Queens Park Rangers’ Charlie Austin (12 goals, third-most in BPL), as well as Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard and Manchester City midfielder Yaya Touré. At the end of the telecast, Premier League Breakaway will feature a comprehensive recap of all the action.

All eight matches in the 10 a.m. ET window will be available in their entirety via live stream on NBC Sports Live Extra and on Premier League Extra Time, a bonus television package available to MVPDs at no extra cost for customers who receive NBCSN. Premier League Breakaway will also be available on NBC Sports Live Extra.

Live match coverage concludes with Tottenham v. league-leaders Chelsea and forward Diego Costa (13 goals, second-most in BPL) at 12:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN and Telemundo. Lead play-by-play voice Arlo White calls the match, joined by analyst Lee Dixon from White Hart Lane.

Lowe will be joined by U.S. Men’s National Team midfielder Kyle Martino and former Premier League footballer Robbie Mustoe for Premier League Live pre- and post-match shows on New Year’s Day.
