STAMFORD, Conn. – Dec. 23, 2014 – NBCSN will present an 18-hour Mecum Marathon on Christmas Day, featuring the best of its 2014 Mecum Auctions coverage.
NBCSN’s Christmas Day Mecum Marathon is highlighted by the premiere of Best of Mecum Dealmakers, taking a look at how Mecum Auctions President and Founder Dana Mecum and his son Frank Mecum made some of this year’s biggest deals happen.
Coverage begins Christmas Day at 9 a.m. ET on NBCSN with the best of Mecum’s Kissimmee Auction, followed at 11 a.m. ET by highlights from its Houston auction, which included the sale of a $7 million 1964 Ford GT Prototype. NBCSN’s Mecum encores continue at 1:30 p.m. ET with highlights from Kansas City, followed by a look at some of the top muscle cars sold at this year’s auctions in Indianapolis and Seattle.
NBC Sports Group’s Mecum Auctions coverage is led by Scott Hoke, alongside analysts John Kraman, Stephen Cox, and reporter Bill Stephens.
Mecum Dealmakers: Anaheim airs at 8 p.m. ET, featuring Anaheim Ducks captain Ryan Getzlaf and his 2006 Ford GT Heritage Edition, which sold for $375,000. NBCSN’s Best of Mecum Dealmakers debuts at 9 p.m. ET, highlighting the biggest deals from this year’s auctions. NBCSN’s Christmas Day Mecum Marathon concludes with highlights from its Monterey and Dallas auctions.
