SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL

Ben Roethlisberger and the Pittsburgh Steelers look to build on last weekend’s record-setting offensive performance, when they host Joe Flacco and the AFC North rival Baltimore Ravens Sunday on NBC’s Sunday Night Football. Sunday night’s pre-game coverage begins with Football Night In America at 7 p.m. ET.

Calling Ravens-Steelers is play-by-play announcer Al Michaels, analyst Cris Collinsworth, and sideline reporter Michele Tafoya.

Football Night in America, the most-watched studio show in sports, is hosted by Bob Costas, who will report from Heinz Field in Pittsburgh, Pa., on Sunday. Costas will be joined on site by Collinsworth, Tafoya, Hines Ward and Josh Elliott.

Dan Patrick co-hosts Football Night from NBC Sports Group’s Studio 1 and will be joined by Tony Dungy, Rodney Harrison, Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk on NBCSN and NBCSports.com, and Peter King of Sports Illustrated. Kathryn Tappen will report from Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass., on the Broncos-Patriots game.

 

BREEDERS’ CUP WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

NBC Sports Group presents 8 ½ hours of coverage of the Breeders’ Cup World Championships culminating with the running of the  31st Breeders’ Cup Classic on Saturday at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.

NBCSN’s live coverage of the Breeders’ Cup World Championships begins on tonight at 5 p.m. ET, and continues Saturday, November 1, at 3:30 p.m. ET.

NBC Sports Group coverage of the Breeders’ Cup will feature Tom Hammond, whose first-ever assignment for NBC was as a reporter 30 years ago on the network’s inaugural Breeders’ Cup broadcast in 1984. He is joined by Hall-of-Fame jockey Jerry Bailey, who had 15 Breeders’ Cup wins, including five victories in the Breeders’ Cup Classic; veteran horse racing analyst Randy Moss; contributing analyst/handicappers Eddie Olczyk, who makes his Breeders’ Cup debut; host/reporter Laffit Pincay, III; reporters Kenny Rice, Donna Brothers, Jay Privman, Nick Luck, and Carolyn Manno; and NBC Sports Group’s Josh Elliott. NBC’s Triple Crown race caller Larry Collmus will call all of the Breeders’ Cup races.

 

NHL

The NHL’s two highest-scoring teams will face off on Saturday night on NBCSN, when the New York Islanders travel to San Jose to face the Sharks at 10:30 p.m. ET.

Randy Hahn (play-by-play) and Jamie Baker (analyst) will call the game from the SAP Center at San Jose in San Jose, Calif.

 

F1 UNITED STATES GRAND PRIX

NBC Sports Group’s comprehensive U.S. Grand Prix coverage continues tonight at 10:30 p.m. ET with an encore presentation of today’s practice, and continues Saturday when for the first time, NBC will air live qualifying beginning at 1 p.m. ET.

Coverage of the U.S. Grand Prix begins with a 60-minute edition of F1 Countdown, NBC Sports Group’s live F1 pre-race show, on NBCSN at 2 p.m. ET for 30 minutes, and shifts over to NBC at 2:30 p.m. ET, leading into the U.S. Grand Prix at 3 p.m. ET.

NBC Sports Group F1 broadcast team, led by lead play-by-play commentator Leigh Diffey, will be on-site at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas to host all practice, qualifying and United States Grand Prix coverage. Diffey will be joined by analyst and former racecar driver David Hobbs, analyst and former race mechanic for the Benetton F1 team Steve Matchett, F1 insider Will Buxton, and motorsports reporter Kelli Stavast.

 

PREMIER LEAGUE

NBC Sports Group’s weekend Premier League coverage begins Saturday at 7 a.m. ET with Barclays Premier League Preview, and continues with Premier League Live at 8 a.m. ET. Newcastle v. Liverpool kicks off Saturday’s matches at 8:45 a.m. ET on NBCSN, followed by Chelsea v. Queen’s Park Rangers at 11 a.m. ET. Coverage of the Arsenal v. Burnley, Everton v. Swansea City, Hull City v. Southampton, Stoke City v. West Ham, and Leicester City v. West Brom matches will air on Premier League Extra Time at 11 a.m. ET. Saturday’s coverage on NBCSN wraps up with Goal Zone at 1 p.m. ET, followed by Match of the Day at 1:30 p.m. ET.

Sunday’s coverage on NBCSN begins at 6:30 a.m. ET with Match of the Day, followed by Premier League Live at 7:30 a.m. ET. Manchester City v. Manchester United begins at 8:30 a.m. ET, followed by Aston Villa v. Tottenham at 11 a.m. ET.

NBCSN presents a Western Conference Semifinal match between the LA Galaxy and Real Salt Lake, Saturday at 8 p.m. ET.

NBC Sports Group’s lead MLS play-by-play announcer John Strong calls the match from Rio Tinto Stadium in Sandy, Utah, and is joined by former Major League Soccer and U.S. Men’s National Team midfielder Kyle Martino and host Russ Thaler.

 

GOLF

The 2014-15 PGA TOUR season continues this week at the CIMB Classic. Weekend coverage begins tonight at 11p.m. ET on Golf Channel, with a replay of the action at Noon ET on Saturday. Live coverage of the final round begins Saturday night at 11 p.m. ET with an encore presentation of the final round airing Sunday at Noon ET.

Steve Sands (play-by-play) leads Golf Channel’s team calling the action from Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Joining Sands will be Frank Nobilo (analyst), Curt Byrum (tower), and Phil Parkin (on course).

Weekend coverage of the Charles Schwab Cup Championship on Golf Channel begins tonight at 4:30 p.m. ET, continues Saturday at 4:30 p.m. ET, and concludes with coverage of the final round Sunday at 3:30 p.m. ET.

Brian Hammons (play-by-play), Lanny Wadkins (analyst), Dave Marr (tower), John Mahaffey (tower), Billy Ray Brown (on course) and Tim Rosaforte (interviews) call the action from Desert Mountain Club (Cochise Course), Scottsdale, Ariz..

Golf Channel’s weekend coverage of the European Tour’s BMW Masters begins Saturday at 6 a.m. ET, and concludes Sunday with coverage of the final round at 6 a.m. ET.

Calling the action from Lake Malaren Golf Club in Shanghai, China are Peter Donegan (play by play), Warren Humphreys (analyst), and Julian Tutt (on course).

The LPGA’s Fubon LPGA Taiwan Championship continues tonight with live streaming coverage of the second round on Golf Channel’s Live Extra beginning at 11:30 p.m. ET, and a tape delay replay on Golf Channel beginning at 3 a.m. ET. Live coverage of the final round begins at 11:30 p.m. ET Saturday on Golf Channel’s Live Extra, with tape delay coverage of the final round airing on Golf Channel at 2 a.m. ET.

Mike Ritz hosts from Golf Channel’s studio in Orlando, and is joined by Warren Smith (play by play), Sandy MacKenzie (analyst), and on-course reporter Karen Stupples.

 

FIGURE SKATING

NBC presents 2014 Skate Canada International coverage Sunday at 1 p.m. ET featuring performances from the men’s and ladies’ free skate competition from Prospera Place in Kelowna, British Columbia.

NBC’s lead figure skating broadcast team of three-time U.S. figure skating champion Johnny Weir, 1998 Olympic gold medalist Tara Lipinski, and play-by-play announcer Terry Gannon will handle coverage.

 

RUGBY

NBC Sports Group presents an international rugby showdown Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET on NBC, when the USA Eagles face the New Zealand All Blacks from a sold-out Soldier Field in Chicago, Ill., home of the NFL’s Chicago Bears.

NBC Sports commentator Todd Harris will call the action, joined by former USA Sevens captain and USA Rugby World Cup participant Brian Hightower, and sideline reporter Marty Snider.

 

COLLEGE HOCKEY

NBCSN’s coverage of the 2014-15 college hockey season continues with a two-game series this weekend featuring the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the Vermont Catamounts. The first game begins tonight at 8 p.m. ET on NBCSN, while Game 2 of the series will stream exclusively on NBC Sports Live Extra at 7 p.m. ET on Saturday.

John Walton (play-by-play) and Anson Carter (analyst) will have the call from Compton Family Ice Arena in Notre Dame, Ind.
