GOLF COVERAGE

NBC Sports Group celebrates this weekend 25 years of coverage of the American Century Championship, the nation’s premier celebrity golf tournament. Coverage begins today at 4 p.m. ET on NBCSN, and continues Saturday at 3 p.m. ET. Sunday’s final round coverage begins at 3 p.m. ET on NBC.

Bob Papa and Roger Maltbie call the action from Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course in Lake Tahoe, Calif. Joining Papa and Maltbie will be Gary Koch (tower), Mark Rolfing (on course reporter), Notah Begay (on course reporter), and Steve Sands (interviews).

Golf Channel’s coverage of the Open Championship, featuring player interviews, news updates and features on Live from Royal Liverpool, continues tonight at 7 p.m. ET.  Live from Royal Liverpool continues Saturday at 2:30 p.m. ET, and at 7 p.m. ET. Coverage surrounding Sunday’s final round begins at 1:30 p.m. ET, and continues at 7 p.m. ET.

Rich Lerner and Frank Nobilo lead Golf Channel’s coverage from Hoylake, England, and joining are joined by Todd Lewis, Tim Rosaforte and Ken Schofield. Golf Channel’s Ryan Burr, Brandel Chamblee, Tripp Isenhour and Kelly Tilghman host coverage from Golf Channel Studios in Orlando.

 

TOUR DE FRANCE COVERAGE

NBC Sports Group’s coverage of the Tour de France continues tonight at 8 p.m. ET on NBCSN with Tour Primetime highlighting Stage 13: Saint-Étienne to Chamrousse. Coverage of Stage 14: Grenoble to Risoul, begins Saturday at 7 a.m. ET on NBCSN, continues at 2 p.m. on NBC, and concludes with Tour Primetime at 8 p.m. on NBCSN. Sunday’s coverage of Stage 15: Tallard to Nímes, begins at 8 a.m. ET on NBCSN and continues with Tour Primetime at 8 p.m. ET on NBCSN.

Phil Liggett and Paul Sherwen, the voices of cycling, call the race action for the live shows alongside Steve Schlanger and Carolyn Manno (reporters), and Steve Porino (‘Inside-the-Race’).  In the studio Todd Harris hosts nightly coverage, alongside Bob Roll and Christian Vande Velde (analysts).

 

SOCCER COVERAGE

This weekend’s Major League Soccer coverage features the Portland Timbers and Colorado Rapids tonight at 11:00 p.m. ET on NBCSN.

NBC Sports Group’s lead MLS play-by-play announcer John Strong will call the action from Commerce Park, Colorado. Joining Strong will be Kyle Martino (analyst) and Russ Thaler (host).

 

MOTORSPORTS COVERAGE

NBC Sports Group presents coverage of six different racing series this weekend, including the Formula One German Grand Prix, Honda Indy Toronto, Global RallyCross New York and Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Spring Creek National.

Motorsports coverage begins Saturday at 8 a.m. ET with qualifying for F1 German Grand Prix on CNBC, with an encore presentation at noon on NBCSN. Sunday’s live race coverage of the F1 German Grand Prix begins at 7:30 a.m. on CNBC, and concludes with the GP2 race at 7 p.m. on NBCSN.

NBCSN’s coverage of the Honda Indy Toronto begins Saturday at 1:30 p.m. ET with qualifying, leading into live coverage of Race 1 at 3 p.m. ET. NBCSN will present live coverage of Race 2 at 3 p.m. ET on Sunday, followed by the Indy Lights Toronto race at 6 p.m. ET.

Bob Varsha will call the Honda Indy Toronto on-site, alongside Paul Tracy and Townsend Bell (analysts). Joining them will be Marty Snider, Kelli Stavast, Kevin Lee and Robin Miller reporting live from the pits. Lee will handle the play-by-play of the Indy Lights race alongside Anders Krohn and Jake Query (analysts).

NBC Sports’ lead F1 and Indy Car announcer Leigh Diffey will call the action. Joining Diffey will be David Hobbs (analyst), Steve Matchett (analyst) and Will Buxton serving as the team’s on-site reporter from Hockenheim, Germany.

NBCSN’s coverage of Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Spring Creek National begins Saturday at 6 p.m. ET on NBCSN.

Calling the action from Millville, Minn. will be Jason Weigandt (play-by-play), Grant Langston (analyst) and Georgia Lindsay (pit reporter).

NBC’s coverage of the 2014 Red Bull Global RallyCross Championship begins Sunday at 2 p.m. ET.

Brian Till (play-by-play) will lead the team calling the action from Uniondale, N.Y. Joining Till will be Tommy Kendall (analyst) and Kristen Kenney (reporter).
