MOTORSPORTS COVERAGE

NBC Sports Group will present 25 hours of motorsports coverage this weekend, including the Iowa Corn Indy 300, and Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Budds Creek.

Motorsports coverage begins today at 4 p.m. ET with the Iowa Corn Indy 300 on NBCSN. Live coverage of the race begins Saturday night at 8 p.m. ET on NBCSN.

NBC Sports’ lead Indy Car announcer Leigh Diffey will call the action.  Joining Diffey will be David Hobbs (analyst), Paul Tracy (analyst) and Jon Beekhuis, Kelli Stavast, Kevin Lee and Robin Miller reporting live from the pits.

NBCSN’s live coverage of Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Budds Creek National begins Saturday at 3 p.m. ET on NBCSN.

Calling the action from Mechanicsville, MD will be Jason Weigandt (play-by-play), Grant Langston (analyst) and Georgia Lindsay (pit reporter).

 

TOUR DE FRANCE COVERAGE

NBC Sports Group’s coverage of the Tour de France continues tonight at 8 p.m. ET on NBCSN with Tour Primetime highlighting Stage 7: Epernay to Nancy. Coverage of Stage 8: Tomblain to Gerardmer La Mauselaine, begins Saturday at 8 a.m. ET on NBC, and continues at midnight on NBCSN. Sunday’s coverage of Stage 9: Gerardmer to Mulhouse, begins at 8 a.m. ET on NBCSN and continues with Tour Primetime at 8 p.m. ET on NBCSN.

Phil Liggett and Paul Sherwen, the voices of cycling, will call the race action for the live shows alongside Steve Schlanger and Carolyn Manno (reporters), and Steve Porino (‘Inside-the-Race’).  In the studio Todd Harris hosts nightly coverage, alongside Bob Roll and Christian Vande Velde (analysts).

 

SOCCER COVERAGE

This weekend’s Major League Soccer coverage features the DC United at the San Jose Earthquakes tonight at 11:00 p.m. ET on NBCSN.

NBC Sports Group’s lead MLS play-by-play announcer John Strong will call the action from San Jose. Joining Strong will be Kyle Martino (analyst) and Russ Thaler (host).

 

GOLF COVERAGE

NBC Sports Group’s coverage of the European Tour’s Aberdeen Management Scottish Open continues Saturday with the third round at 9:30 a.m. ET on Golf Channel, and continues on NBC at noon ET. Sunday’s final round coverage begins at 9:30 a.m. ET on Golf Channel, and continues at noon ET on NBC.

Golf Channel’s Rich Lerner leads the team from Royal Aberdeen Golf Club, and will be joined by Dougie Donnelly (play by play), Frank Nobilo (analyst), Denis Hutchinson (analyst), Sam Torrance (analyst) and Jay Townsend (on course).

Golf Channel’s weekend coverage of the PGA Tour’s John Deere Classic continues Saturday with the third round live at 1 p.m. ET. Final round coverage begins Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.

Brian Hammons (play by play) leads Golf Channel’s team from TPC Deere Run. Joining Hammons will be Curt Byrum (analyst), Peter Oosterhuis (tower), Steve Flesch (on course), Phil Parkin (on course) and Steve Burkowski (interviews).

NBC’s coverage of the US Senior Open begins Saturday at 2:30 p.m. ET, and continues Sunday with final round coverage at 2:30 p.m. ET.

NBC’s Dan Hicks will host NBC’s coverage and will be joined by Mark Rolfing (tower), Roger Maltbie (on course), Notah Begay (on course) and Steve Sands (interviews). Gary Koch and Peter Jacobsen qualified to be in the field, though Koch may be a part of Golf Channel on NBC’s weekend broadcast, depending on his performance
