STAMFORD, Conn. – May 28, 2014 Jonathan Quick and the Los Angeles Kings can advance to the Stanley Cup Final for the second time in three years with a victory over Jonathan Toews and the Chicago Blackhawks in Game 5 of the Western Conference Final tonight at 8 p.m. ET on NBCSN.

Coverage starts at 7 p.m. ET on NBCSN with NHL Live hosted by Liam McHugh, alongside former NHL players and analysts Mike Milbury and Keith Jones. NBC Sports Live Extra – NBC Sports Group’s live streaming product for desktops, mobile devices, and tablets – will provide live streaming coverage of tonight’s Western Conference Final action, starting at 7 p.m. ET with NHL Live.

The Kings look to dethrone the defending-champion Blackhawks tonight with a fourth straight victory following a Game 1 loss in Chicago. The Kings have outscored the Blackhawks 15-5 since the waning moments of the second period in Game 2, when Los Angeles’ Justin Williams scored the first of six consecutive Kings’ goals in a 6-2 win, followed by convincing victories at STAPLES Center in Games 3 and 4. Chicago will look to repeat history from a season ago, when they erased a 3-1 series deficit to the Detroit Red Wings, en route to the Stanley Cup title.

A win tonight would send the Kings to their second Stanley Cup Final in three seasons, following their appearance in 2012 when they defeated the New Jersey Devils in six games for their first-ever title.

Kenny Albert (play-by-play), Joe Micheletti (analyst), and Brian Engblom (“Inside the Glass” analyst) will have the call from United Center in Chicago, Ill.

GAME 6 – CANADIENS-RANGERS EASTERN CONFERENCE FINAL – TOMORROW AT 8 P.M. ET ON NBCSN – RANGERS LEAD 3-2

The New York Rangers will look to close out the Montreal Canadiens and advance to the Stanley Cup Final with a win in Game 6 tomorrow night at 8 p.m. ET on NBCSN. The Canadiens fought off elimination on Tuesday night with a wild 7-4 win in Montreal to send the series back to New York. Henrik Lundqvist was pulled midway through the second period, after allowing four goals to spot Montreal a 4-1 lead, but the Rangers responded with three quick tallies to knot the score at four. The Canadiens eventually pulled away with three straight goals from Rene Bourque to force a Game 6.

A win would send the Rangers to their first Stanley Cup Final in 20 years, while the Canadiens could force a Game 7 back in Montreal on Saturday night at 8 p.m. ET on NBCSN.

Emmy Award-winning play-by-play voice Mike ‘Doc’ Emrick, analyst Eddie Olczyk and Emmy Award-winning “Inside the Glass” analyst Pierre McGuire will have the call from Madison Square Garden in New York.
