NHL Announces Schedule For Saturday Matchups on NBCSN and CNBC

All Games on NBC, NBCSN and CNBC Will Be Streamed Live Via NBC Sports Live Extra

STAMFORD, Conn. – April 23, 2014 – Day 8 of NBC Sports Group’s 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs coverage continues with a trio of Game 4s across NBCSN and CNBC, beginning at 7 p.m. ET on NBCSN when the (1) Pittsburgh Penguins, looking to build upon their 2-1 series lead, visit the (4) Columbus Blue Jackets.

NBCSN’s coverage continues at 9:30 p.m. ET, when the (3) Chicago Blackhawks look to even their series at two games apiece against the rival (2) St. Louis Blues in Chicago.

CNBC’s coverage begins tonight at 8 p.m. ET, featuring Game 4 between the (1) Anaheim Ducks and (4) Dallas Stars, as the Stars aim to win their second straight game at home, and send the series back to Anaheim tied at two.

TONIGHT – APRIL 23

Edmonton Oilers defenseman and Stanley Cup winner Andrew Ference joins Liam McHugh and Mike Milbury as an analyst on NHL Live tonight, beginning at 6:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN. Ference is a veteran of more than 950 NHL regular-season and Stanley Cup Playoff games, and won the Stanley Cup as a member of the Boston Bruins in 2011.

Dave Briggs, Jeremy Roenick and Anson Carter will handle CNBC’s studio coverage, beginning at 8 p.m. ET.

Game coverage starts at 7 p.m. ET on NBCSN following NHL Live, as the (4) Columbus Blue Jackets host the (1) Pittsburgh Penguins in Game 4 of their first-round series. The Penguins stunned the Blue Jackets in Game 3, scoring three goals in a span 2:13 in the third period to rally for a 4-3 win and a 2-1 series lead. Kenny Albert (play-by-play) and Emmy Award-winning ‘Inside-the-Glass’ analyst Pierre McGuire will have the call from Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio.

CNBC presents Game 4 between the (1) Anaheim Ducks and (4) Dallas Stars at 8 p.m. ET, with the Ducks holding a 2-1 series edge. Stars goaltender Kari Lehtonen made 37 saves in Game 3 to lead the Stars to a 3-0 victory in the first Stanley Cup Playoff game in Dallas in nearly six years on Monday. Gord Miller (play-by-play) and Joe Micheletti (analyst) will call the action from American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas.

NBCSN’s doubleheader continues at 9:30 p.m. ET as the (3) Chicago Blackhawks look for their second straight win at home over the (2) St. Louis Blues, which would even their series at two games apiece. In Game 3, Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews scored 4:10 into the first period to give Chicago a lead, and goaltender Corey Crawford turned aside all 34 shots he faced as the Blackhawks shut out the Blues by a score of 2-0. Dave Strader (play-by-play) and Brian Engblom (analyst) will have the call from United Center in Chicago, Ill.

In the event that the Penguins-Blue Jackets game on NBCSN runs beyond 9:45 p.m. ET, NHL Network will air puck drop of Blues-Blackhawks. Blues-Blackhawks will return to NBCSN immediately following the conclusion of Penguins-Blue Jackets, where it will be seen in its entirety.

REMINDER: Games airing on cable in the first round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs are subject to local blackouts.
NHL ANNOUNCES SCHEDULE FOR SATURDAY MATCHUPS ON NBCSN AND CNBC

The NHL today announced the schedule for this Saturday’s Game 5 matchups on NBCSN and CNBC, highlighted by a doubleheader on NBCSN, starting with (4) Columbus at (1) Pittsburgh at 7 p.m. ET. Saturday’s coverage begins on NBC at 3 p.m. ET with Game 5 between (4) Detroit and (1) Boston.
