STAMFORD, Conn. – April 22, 2014 – Day 7 of NBC Sports Group’s 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs coverage continues with four games across NBCSN, CNBC and NHL Network, highlighted by a doubleheader on NBCSN, when the (1) Boston Bruins visit the (4) Detroit Red Wings at 7:30 p.m. ET, followed by the (2) San Jose Sharks and (3) Los Angeles Kings at 10 p.m. ET.
CNBC’s coverage begins tonight at 8 p.m. ET with Game 3 between the (2) New York Rangers and (3) Philadelphia Flyers, with their series deadlocked at one game apiece.
NHL Network’s game coverage begins at 7 p.m. ET with Game 4 between the (3) Montreal Canadiens host the (2) Tampa Bay Lightning, as Montreal looks to complete a four-game sweep.

TONIGHT – APRIL 22
NHL Live, hosted by Liam McHugh, Mike Milbury and Jeremy Roenick, begins at 6:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN. Roenick will join Dave Briggs and Anson Carter for CNBC’s studio coverage throughout tonight’s Rangers-Flyers game.
Game coverage starts with Game 4 between the (3) Montreal Canadiens and (2) Tampa Bay Lightning at 7 p.m. ET on NHL Network, as the Canadiens can advance to the second round with a win tonight to complete a four-game sweep. Jim Hughson, Craig Simpson, Glenn Healy and David Amber will have the call from the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec.
NBCSN’s doubleheader begins at 7:30 p.m. ET, as the first-round series between the (1) Boston Bruins and (4) Detroit Red Wings shifts to “Hockeytown”, tied at one game apiece. The Bruins defeated the Red Wings by a score of 4-1 on Sunday afternoon to even the series, following Detroit’s Game 1 win by a score of 1-0. Emmy Award-winning play-by-play commentator Mike “Doc” Emrick and Emmy Award-winning ‘Inside-the-Glass’ analyst Pierre McGuire will have the call from Joe Louis Arena in Detroit, Mich.
CNBC presents Game 3 between the (2) New York Rangers and (3) Philadelphia Flyers at 8 p.m. ET, as the Flyers return to Philadelphia and look to build off of momentum from Sunday’s 4-2 win over the Rangers in Game 2 at Madison Square Garden. Dave Strader (play-by-play) and Brian Engblom (analyst) will provide live commentary from the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pa.
NBCSN’s doubleheader continues at 10 p.m. ET as the (3) Los Angeles Kings host the (2) San Jose Sharks. San Jose holds a 2-0 series lead over Los Angeles, including a 7-2 win on Sunday that featured seven unanswered Sharks’ goals to erase a 2-0 second-period deficit. The Sharks have outscored the Kings by a margin of 13-5 over the first two games of the series, with 10 different players lighting the lamp for San Jose. Randy Hahn and Drew Remenda will call the action from Staples Center in Los Angeles. Calif.
In the event that the Bruins-Red Wings game on NBCSN runs beyond 10:15 p.m. ET, NHL Network will air puck drop of Sharks-Kings. Sharks-Kings will return to NBCSN immediately following the conclusion of Bruins-Red Wings, where it will be seen in its entirety.

EDMONTON OILERS DEFENSEMAN & STANLEY CUP WINNER ANDREW FERENCE TO SERVE AS ANALYST ON NHL LIVE WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY
Edmonton Oilers defenseman and Stanley Cup winner Andrew Ference will join NBCSN’s first-round Stanley Cup Playoff coverage on Wednesday and Thursday as a studio analyst on NHL Live.
Ference is a veteran of more than 950 NHL regular-season and Stanley Cup Playoff games, and won the Stanley Cup as a member of the Boston Bruins in 2011. Ference will work alongside Milbury on Wednesday night, and Jones on Thursday night, handling coverage of doubleheaders on NBCSN.
2014 STANLEY CUP PLAYOFFS UP 63% ON CABLE THROUGH FIRST 5 DAYS
On the strength of a new playoff format that has emphasized divisional rivalries in the first round, NBC Sports Group’s coverage of the first five days of the 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs has generated significant viewership and consumption increases for its coverage across NBC, NBCSN, CNBC and NBC Sports Live Extra. NBC’s coverage of Blues-Blackhawks on Saturday was up 52% from the comparable 2013 game, viewership of the 2014 Stanley Cup Playoffs on cable is up 63% vs. 2013, and nearly 19 million minutes of the Stanley Cup Playoffs were consumed on NBC Sports Live Extra through the first five days of the postseason, up 532% vs. the same timeframe in 2013.
