GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS TV RATINGS SOAR ON COMCAST SPORTSNET BAY AREA

Warriors Household Ratings Up 13% Compared to 2012-13 Viewership

Increased Ratings Registered in Key Advertising Demographics,

Warriors Pregame Live and Warriors Postgame Live

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (April 17, 2014) – Comcast SportsNet Bay Area (@CSNAuthentic), the home of “Authentic Bay Area Sports,” has seen a significant rise in ratings for its Golden State Warriors telecasts during the 2013-14 NBA season. Comcast SportsNet Bay Area averaged a 3.24 household rating, which is equal to an estimated 81,640 households in the San Francisco DMA (San Francisco/Oakland/San Jose) watching per game, a 13 percent increase over the 2.86 average household rating posted at the end of the 2012-13 season, and an 80% percent increase since the 2011-12 season.

Additional highlights from the 2013-14 season include:

  • Of the 74 Warriors games televised on Comcast SportsNet Bay Area, 15 telecasts have been #1 in average households during the market time period, 27 broadcasts have been ranked #2, and 17 telecasts have been ranked #3.  This season, 80% of Warriors games have been ranked in the top three during the market time period on Comcast SportsNet Bay Area;
  • Ratings in key advertising demographics have posted increased numbers, including Adults 25-54 (+16%) and Men 25-54 (+12%);
  • The 2/12/2014 Warriors/Heat game registered a season-high 5.61 average household rating (approx. 141,401 households) – the highest rated Warriors regular season game since the 2007-2008 season (3/24/2008, Warriors/Lakers 5.73);
  • Warriors Pregame Live (+12%) and Warriors Postgame Live (+17%) have posted rating gains in households compared to the 2012-13 season.
