COMCAST SPORTSNET PHILADELPHIA ANNOUNCES FLYERS FIRST ROUND PLAYOFF ACTION

Live Pre and Postgame Programs and Online Exclusives Highlight Playoff Coverage against the New York Rangers

Former Flyers Goalie Brian Boucher Joins Comcast SportsNet Flyers Playoff Team

 

PHILADELPHIA (April 15, 2014) – Comcast SportsNet, the leader in local sports news, will have extensive coverage of the Philadelphia Flyers first round playoff series against the New York Rangers. In addition to live game broadcasts, Comcast SportsNet will provide viewers with extensive pre and postgame coverage on-air and online at CSNPhilly.com.

Throughout the playoffs, Flyers fans can catch the latest team developments, game previews and opposing team analysis from Tim Panaccio on “Philly Sports Talk,” “SportsNet Central,” “Flyers Pregame Live,” “Flyers Postgame Live,” and online at CSNPhilly.com.

Former Flyer Brian Boucher will join Comcast SportsNet’s Flyers coverage throughout the playoffs.  The former goalie will appear on “Philly Sports Talk,” “Flyers Pregame Live,” and “Cup Central.”

Comcast SportsNet’s Flyers broadcast team of Jim Jackson, Steve Coates and Bill Clement will call Games One, Three and Four, and Six and Seven (if necessary). All games, including games airing on NBC10, will be replayed on Comcast SportsNet and The Comcast Network the following day.

Cup Central

Comcast SportsNet’s Flyers playoff special “Cup Central,” will air on Wednesday, April 16 at 6:30 p.m.  John Boruk will host and be joined by hockey experts including Tim Panaccio, Bill Clement, Al Morganti and Brian Boucher as they preview the series ahead, the Flyers’ troubles in Madison Square Garden and the keys to moving onto the next round.  New episodes of “Cup Central” will air on Monday, April 21 at 7 p.m. and Thursday, April 24 at 6:30 p.m.

 

Pre and Postgame Coverage

Comcast SportsNet will air live pre and postgame programs throughout the playoffs. Before every Flyers playoff game, viewers can catch the latest team developments, game previews and opposing team analysis on “Flyers Pregame Live.”

After every playoff game, fans get a game breakdown with stats and highlights, and a look ahead to the rest of the series on “Flyers Postgame Live.” Other features include coach Craig Berube’s press conference and reaction from the locker room. “Flyers Pregame Live” and “Flyers Postgame Live” are hosted by Michael Barkann with analysis provided by Steve Coates, Al Morganti, and Rick Tocchet.

“Flyers Pregame Live” will broadcast live from The Cure Insurance Club located in the Wells Fargo Center for all Flyers home playoff games. Viewers will also hear from fans watching the games at Xfinity Live! for all home and away games throughout the playoffs.
