FOLLOWING ARE HIGHLIGHTS FROM TODAY’S NBCSN, CNBC, MSNBC & USA COVERAGE OF THE 2014 OLYMPIC WINTER GAMES IN SOCHI:

Liam McHugh on the Czech Republic men’s hockey team: “Depending on your perspective, you can describe this Czech Republic team as mature, perhaps experienced. You can probably also simply call them old – they have six players that are 35+, two players that are in their 40s.”

Play-by-play voice Ted Robinson on the Dutch sweep in the men’s speed skating 10,000m: “It’s just another in an unending series of incredible performances by the Netherlands in speed skating.”

Analyst Dan Jansen on six-time Olympic Dutch medalist Sven Kramer in the men’s speed skating 10,000m: “It’s the most grueling race out of the five individual races. It’s painful as it goes… He’s such a powerful skater, makes it look so easy.”

Analyst Brian Engbom on Latvia moving to the quarterfinals after winning against Switzerland 3-1: “Pure joy, and they deserve it. They’ve played a heck of a hockey game.”

Engblom on the physical play in the Latvian defensive zone in the final minutes of the elimination round: “It is physical warfare down there. As it should be when you’re defending the lead as the Latvian’s are.”
