NBC SPORTS GROUP SURROUNDS UNITED STATES SKI AND SNOWBOARD SELECTION EVENTS LEADING INTO SOCHI OLYMPICS
NBC Sports Group to Air Coverage of All Five USSA Selection Events for Freeskiing and Snowboarding Halfpipe and Slopestyle
Events Will Determine Freeskiing and Snowboarding Halfpipe and Slopestyle Athletes Representing United States in 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi
STAMFORD, Conn. – December 13, 2013 – NBC and NBCSN will present live coverage of all five of the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association freeskiing and snowboarding halfpipe and slopestyle selection events leading into the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi. Coverage begins on NBC tomorrow at Noon ET with coverage of the Dew Tour iON Mountain Championships from Breckenridge, Colo. The results of the five USSA events will determine the freeskiing and snowboarding halfpipe and slopestyle athletes that will represent the United States at the upcoming Sochi Winter Games.
The five USSA events are comprised of the Dew Tour iON Mountain Championships, plus Sprint U.S. Grand Prix events at Copper Mountain, Colo,, Northstar California, Mammoth Mountain, Calif., and Park City, Utah. These events will feature the world’s top freeskiing and snowboarding athletes, including Shaun White, Louie Vito, Danny Davis, Kelly Clark, Torin Yater-Wallace, Keri Herman, Tom Wallisch, Nick Goepper, and Bobby Brown.
DEW TOUR ION MOUNTAIN CHAMPIONSHIPS
NBC and NBCSN will air coverage of the Dew Tour iON Mountain Championships, from Breckenridge, Colo., on December 14-15. Coverage begins tomorrow at Noon ET on NBC with the men’s snowboard superpipe finals, and continues on Sunday, Dec. 15 at Noon ET on NBC with the men’s freeski slopestyle finals. NBCSN’s coverage begins on Sunday at 3 p.m. ET with the men’s snowboard slopestyle finals.

Coverage begins Saturday, Dec. 21 at 2 p.m. ET on NBCSN, with the halfpipe skiing finals. Coverage continues on Sunday, Dec. 22 at 2 p.m. ET on NBC with the slopestyle skiing finals, followed by the halfpipe snowboarding finals at 3 p.m. ET. NBCSN will present coverage of the slopestyle snowboarding finals on Friday, Dec. 27 at 10 p.m. ET.

Coverage continues on NBC on Sunday, Jan. 12 at 1:30 with the slopestyle snowboarding finals. NBCSN will present the halfpipe skiing finals at 9 p.m. ET on Monday, Jan. 12, followed by the halfpipe snowboarding finals at 10 p.m. ET.

Coverage of the Mammoth Mountain Grand Prix concludes on Monday, Jan. 20 at 1 p.m. ET with the second slopestyle snowboarding finals.
