Stamford, Conn. – October 30, 2013 – Andrew Luck and the division-leading Indianapolis Colts travel to Houston, Texas, to take on J.J. Watt and the Texans on NBC’s Sunday Night Football. Coverage begins with Football Night In America at 7 p.m. ET on NBC.
After playing just one divisional game through the first two months of the season, Indianapolis will face division rival Houston in an important AFC South matchup. The Colts and Texans have combined to win the past four AFC South titles. Sunday night’s game will be a contest between Andrew Luck, who ranks fifth in the NFL in passer rating, and the Texans’ league-leading defense.
Calling Colts-Texans is seven-time Emmy Award-winner Al Michaels (play-by-play), in his 28th season as the voice of the NFL’s premier primetime package; 14-time Emmy Award-winner Cris Collinsworth, who has won the Emmy for Outstanding Event Analyst in each of his four seasons in the Sunday Night Football booth; and Emmy Award-winning sideline reporter Michele Tafoya.
NBC’s coverage of Sunday Night Football is led by Emmy Award-winning coordinating producer Fred Gaudelli and Emmy Award-winning director Drew Esocoff. Sunday Night Football has won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Live Sports Series for five consecutive years.
Football Night In America, the most-watched pre-game show in sports, is hosted by 25-time Emmy Award-winner Bob Costas, who will report from Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas Costas will be joined on-site by Michaels, Collinsworth and two-time Super Bowl winner Hines Ward.
Dan Patrick co-hosts Football Night from NBC’s famed Studio 8H at 30 Rockefeller Plaza. Patrick will be joined by Super Bowl-winning head coach Tony Dungy, two-time Super Bowl winner Rodney Harrison, Peter King of Sports Illustrated, Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk on NBCSN and NBCSports.com, and longtime NFL front office veteran and former NFL Executive of the Year Scott Pioli. Carolyn Manno will report from Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Mass. on the Steelers-Patriots game.

NEW EPISODES OF FNIA COACH’S CLICKER AND NFL TURNING POINT AIR THIS WEEK ON NBCSN
NBCSN’s in-depth coverage of the 2013 NFL season continues tonight at 5 p.m. ET, with a new episode of FNIA Coach’s Clicker, and tomorrow morning at 12:30 a.m. ET, with a new episode of NFL Turning Point.
FNIA Coach’s Clicker, NBCSN’s weekly half-hour NFL studio show that dovetails off of Football Night In America, will provide an in-depth X’s-and-O’s preview of the biggest games coming up in Week 9 of the season. FNIA Coach’s Clicker host Liam McHugh will be joined by Super Bowl-winning head coach Tony Dungy and two-time Super Bowl champion Rodney Harrison, who will preview this week’s Sunday Night Football matchup between the Indianapolis Colts and the Houston Texans, who have combined to win the past four AFC South titles. In addition, Dungy and Harrison will look ahead to the Steelers-Patriots, Saints-Jets, Steelers-Patriots and Chargers-Redskins.
NFL Turning Point, hosted by Football Night In America’s Dan Patrick, will take a look back at Week 8 in the NFL and focus on the crucial “turning point” moments that ultimately defined the outcome of some of the week’s most watched contests.
This week’s episode of NFL Turning Point breaks down the Cowboys-Lions game, and the offensive contest between two of the NFL’s top wide receivers. The show will give viewers an in-depth look at Detroit’s Calvin Johnson, who had 329 receiving yards – just seven yards shy of the NFL record – and Dallas’ Dez Bryant, who scored on two of his three receptions. The episode highlights the back-and-forth battle between the two teams, and analyzes the Lions’ dramatic comeback with seconds left in the fourth quarter. In addition, the segment features in-game audio from Lions QB Matthew Stafford, who was wired for sound during the game.
NFL Turning Point will also include two spotlight features. The first looks at the Patriots defense, and how New England continues to win, despite suffering significant player injuries that have left the team without three defensive starters. The episode also takes an in-depth look at the New Orleans Saints, and how defensive coordinator Rob Ryan has turned the defensive unit around, after it finished last in the NFL in 2012.

RATINGS
The Green Bay Packers’ 13-point victory against the Minnesota Vikings on NBC’s Sunday Night Football averaged 16.9 million viewers – marking the third time in four years that SNF topped World Series Game 4 (16.0 million viewers for Red Sox-Cardinals on Fox).
NBC’s Sunday Night Football – primetime television’s #1 show – is averaging 22.1 million viewers, marking the best eight-week start for an NFL primetime package in 17 years (23.9 million in 1996 for Monday Night Football) and up 4% from last year (21.2 million average).
In addition, SNF tops primetime TV in season-to-date live plus same day household rating (13.1 – best in 14 years for NFL primetime package after eight weeks).
Sunday’s game, in which Green Bay QB Aaron Rodgers completed 24 of 29 pass attempts for 285 yards and two touchdowns in the Packers’ 44-31 victory, drew a 9.8 rating/15 share (8:31-11:06 p.m. ET).
