NBCSN ADDS NATIONAL TELECASTS FOR MLS CUP PLAYOFFS “KNOCKOUT ROUND”

Conference Knockout Round Matches Feature Clint Dempsey and Seattle Sounders FC Hosting Colorado Rapids Wednesday at 10:30 p.m. ET

Houston Dynamo Host Montreal Impact Thursday at 8:30 p.m. ET

Stamford, Conn. – October 29, 2013 – NBCSN will provide national TV exposure for two MLS Cup Playoff matches with the Western and Eastern Conference Knockout Round. On Wednesday at 10:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN, Clint Dempsey and the Seattle Sounders FC host the Colorado Rapids, and on Thursday at 8:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN, the Montreal Impact visit the Houston Dynamo. The Knockout Round matches are single-game playoffs with the winners advancing to the Conference Semifinals.

SEATTLE SOUNDERS FC V. COLORADO RAPIDS, WEDNESDAY, 10:30 P.M. ET ON NBCSN

The Seattle Sounders FC host the two-time Conference champions Colorado Rapids at CenturyLink Field in Seattle, Wash. Sounders forward Dempsey takes the field after scoring his first MLS goal of the season last weekend against the LA Galaxy. Rapids goalkeeper Clint Irwin will look to extend his regular-season success after finishing with 10 clean sheets in 32 games. The winner of the Western Conference Knockout Round will face the Portland Timbers in the Western Conference Semifinals.

HOUSTON DYNAMO V. MONTREAL IMPACT, THURSDAY, 8:30 P.M. ET ON NBCSN

The two-time MLS Cup champions and four-time Eastern Conference champions Houston Dynamo come off a victory against D.C. United and face the Montreal Impact at BBVA Compass Stadium in Houston, Texas. The Dynamo look to return to the MLS Cup Championship for the third consecutive year. The winner of the match will face the New York Red Bulls in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

For the Knockout Round, NBCSN will simulcast local feeds from NBC affiliate KONG-TV in Seattle for the Sounders-Rapids match and CSN-Houston for the Dynamo-Impact game. The Knockout Round matches on NBCSN are subject to local blackouts.
