Stamford, Conn. – October 17, 2013 – NBC Sports Group presents a pair of Major League Soccer games and a U.S. Women’s National Team match versus Australia this weekend. MLS coverage on NBC this weekend is highlighted by Seattle Sounders FC facing FC Dallas Saturday at 2:30 p.m. ET, following live Premier League coverage (West Ham United v. Manchester City). MLS coverage kicks off on Friday with a new episode of MLS Insider at 6:30 p.m. ET, followed by Sporting Kansas City hosting 2013 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup champions D.C. United at 8 p.m. ET.

The U.S. Women’s National Team, led by Olympic gold medalists Abby Wambach and Alex Morgan at forward and goalkeeper Hope Solo, face Australia Sunday on NBC at 1:30 p.m. ET.

COMMENTATORS: NBC Sports Group’s lead MLS play-by-play announcer John Strong will call NBC’s FC Dallas-Seattle Sounders FC match on NBC and will be joined by analyst and former Jamaican national footballer Robbie Earle and host Russ Thaler at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas. Strong, analyst Kate Markgraf and Thaler will host coverage of the U.S. Women’s National Team v. Australia on NBC from the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, on Sunday.

Strong on FC Dallas-Seattle Sounders FC: “We’ve all been shocked to see how Seattle has gone from high-flying darlings of the league to a team seemingly without a rudder all in the span of a month. Can the Sounders turn it around in time for the playoffs?
