COMCAST SPORTSNET’S 2013 COLLEGE FOOTBALL SCHEDULE HIGHLIGHTED BY 30 LIVE ACC, CAA GAMES

17-GAME ACC SCHEDULE TO KICK OFF WITH TERPS’ AUG. 31 SEASON OPENER; REGION’S TOP CAA PROGRAMS TO BE FEATURED THROUGHOUT SEASON

Bethesda, Md. (Aug. 22, 2013) – Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic will present live coverage of 30 combined Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) and Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) games as part of its 2013 college football schedule, beginning with the Maryland Terrapins’ season opener against Florida International on Aug. 31 at 12:30 p.m. The network will also televise 11 games from other top conferences, including the Southeastern Conference and Conference USA.

As the region’s official sports network of the ACC, Comcast SportsNet will televise 17 live games that feature conference teams this season, with at least one match-up each week. In addition to the season opener, the network’s ACC schedule includes South Carolina State at Clemson on Sept. 7 (12:30 p.m.) and Louisiana-Monroe at Wake Forest on Sept. 14 (12:30 p.m.) The remainder of the ACC schedule, including three sets of doubleheaders, will be announced during the season. The network will also present weekly playbacks of Maryland, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Notre Dame games this season.

Comcast SportsNet, the official regional network of the CAA, will provide a 13-game schedule of live conference match-ups this season, which will kick off with Rhode Island at Albany on Sept. 14 (7 p.m.) Several regional CAA programs will make multiple appearances on the network this season, including William & Mary, Richmond, James Madison, Delaware and Towson. Comcast SportsNet’s weekly CAA schedule will conclude Nov. 23 with “Rivalry Week,” when a key match-up will be selected for coverage based on its importance to the conference standings.

Throughout the season, Comcast SportsNet will also provide comprehensive coverage of the region’s top college football programs on Geico SportsNet Central, SportsTalk Live and across its digital media platforms, which are highlighted by CSNwashington.com and CSNbaltimore.com.
