CSN Earns Bronze at PromaxBDA Awards Show

“Know More” TV Spots Recognized by Association for Entertainment Marketing Professionals

HOUSTON-- Comcast SportsNet Houston (CSN), a partnership between the Houston Astros, Houston Rockets and the NBC Sports Group, took home a Bronze award from the PromaxBDA Promotion, Marketing and Design Awards and Conference, held June 18-20 in Los Angeles.

The first-year network earned the award for its “Know More Than You Should” TV spot featuring Astros second baseman Jose Altuve, which was used during the initial launch of the regional sports network. The spot was created by CSN’s marketing and creative teams in conjunction with The Richards Group, a full service branding and advertising agency.

Selected from the “Art Direction & Design: Sports Program Special Events Spot” category, CSN was up against stiff competition. The Gold winner was Fox Sports for the NFL Playoffs, and the Silver winner was the NFL Network for its 2012 Combine/Draft Combo.
