NBC SPORTS NETWORK TO AIR 11 HOURS OF ELITE CYCLING BEGINNING THIS SUNDAY, JUNE 2

Coverage Begins with USA Pro Cycling Championships at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday

10 Hours of Critérium du Dauphiné Coverage begins at 11 p.m. ET on Sunday

NEW YORK – May 31, 2013 – NBC Sports Network will air 11 hours of elite cycling coverage, including the Volkswagen USA Cycling Professional Road and Time Trial National Championships, and Critérium du Dauphiné. Coverage begins this Sunday at 1 p.m. ET on NBC Sports Network and continues throughout the week.

Craig Hummer, Robbie Ventura, and Kristin Armstrong will report from Chattannooga, Tenn. for the USA Pro Cycling Championships, where the nation’s best men and women professional cyclists in both road race and time trial compete to the finish.

Steve Schlanger and Bob Roll will report from Dauphiné, France for the Critérium du Dauphiné. Similar to the Tour de France, the Critérium du Dauphiné contains: stages for the sprinters, mountains for the climbers, and time trials. 24-year old American cyclist Andrew Talansky of Team Garmin looks to earn his first ever Tour de France start next week. Britain’s Chris Froome of Team Sky looks to lead as he competes against three-time Tour de France winner Alberto Contador.
