NBC SPORTS GROUP’S “NHL PLAYOFF PASS” – MAY 17
NEW YORK – May 17, 2013 – “NHL Playoff Pass” on NBC Sports Group Press Box provides a quick daily overview of Stanley Cup Playoff coverage. It is published weekdays to preview the evening games. On Fridays, a weekend edition is posted.
NBC Sports Network will serve as the primary home for Conference Semifinal coverage, offering one or two games virtually every night. When necessary, CNBC will also provide live coverage in primetime. NBC will present exclusive afternoon coverage during the weekend of May 18-19, and a primetime game on Saturday, May 25, if necessary. TONIGHT, May 17
Coverage of the 2013 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs continues tonight with Conference Semifinal action at 7:30 p.m. ET when the Pittsburgh Penguins host the Ottawa Senators on NBC Sports Network (Pittsburgh leads 1-0). Rick Peckham will manage play-by-play alongside analyst Brian Engblom from Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh, Pa.
Coverage begins on NBC Sports Network at 7 p.m. ET with NHL Live hosted by Bill Patrick, Jeremy Roenick and Keith Jones.
SATURDAY, May 18
On Saturday, May 18, NBC will air the Chicago Blackhawks hosting the Detroit Red Wings at 1 p.m. ET (Chicago leads 1-0). Mike ‘Doc’ Emrick will call play-by-play, joined by analyst Eddie Olczyk and Emmy-award winning ‘Inside-the-Glass’ analyst Pierre McGuire at the United Center in Chicago, Ill.
Coverage returns to NBC Sports Network at 9 p.m. ET when the San Jose Sharks host the Los Angeles Kings (Los Angeles leads 2-0). John Forslund will manage play-by-play with analyst Joe Micheletti from the HP Pavilion at San Jose, Calif. NBC Sports Network’s studio show, NHL Live, hosted by Russ Thaler and Keith Jones will provide insights and analysis following the game.
SUNDAY, May 19
Conference Semifinals continue on NBC at 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 19, with the Boston Bruins hosting the New York Rangers (Boston leads 1-0). Dave Strader will serve as play-by-play announcer alongside Emmy-award winning analyst Pierre McGuire (‘Inside-the-Glass’) from TD Garden in Boston, Mass.
NBC Sports Network’s coverage begins at 7:30 p.m. ET when the Pittsburgh Penguins travel to Ottawa to take on the Senators. Rick Peckham will manage play-by-play alongside analyst Brian Engblom from Scotiabank Place in Ottawa, Ontario.
