STANLEY CUP TO MAKE GUEST APPEARANCE ON NBC’S “CHICAGO FIRE”

NEW YORK  -May 14, 2013 – The Stanley Cup and its keeper, Hockey Hall of Fame curator Phil Pritchard, will make a guest appearance on NBC’s hit drama series Chicago Fire, tomorrow night at 10:00 p.m. ET. The appearance coincides with the Stanley Cup Playoffs and the start of the Conference Semifinals this week on NBC, NBC Sports Network and CNBC.

In the Chicago Fire episode titled Let Her Go, the Stanley Cup pays a special visit when the firehouse comes together to support the opening of Molly’s.

NBC Sports Group’s presentation of the 2013 Stanley Cup Playoffs continues this week with the Eastern and Western Conference Semifinals featuring the Pittsburgh Penguins (1) – Ottawa Senators (7), Boston Bruins (4) – New York Rangers (6), Chicago Blackhawks (1) – Detroit Red Wings (7), and Los Angeles Kings (5) – San Jose Sharks (6). NBC Sports Network will serve as the primary home for Conference Semifinal coverage, offering one or two games virtually every night. When necessary, CNBC will also provide live coverage in primetime. NBC will present exclusive afternoon coverage during the weekend of May 18-19, and a primetime game on Saturday, May 25, if necessary.

“Chicago Fire” was created by Derek Haas and Michael Brandt, and is produced by Emmy Award-winning executive producer Dick Wolf (“Law & Order” ) . In addition to Wolf, Haas and Brandt, executive producers include Matt Olmstead (“Breakout Kings”), Joe Chappelle (“The Wire”), Danielle Gelber and Peter Jankowski (“Law & Order”).
