NBC SPORTS NETWORK PRESENTS 13 HOURS OF MOTORSPORTS COVERAGE THIS WEEKEND

Coverage Highlighted by the Formula One™ Spanish Grand Prix Live on Sunday at 7:30 a.m. ET; Encore at 2 p.m. ET

This Weekend’s Motorsports Coverage Begins on Friday at 8 a.m. ET with Live Formula One™ Practice

NEW YORK – May 8, 2013 – NBC Sports Network presents 13 hours of motorsports coverage this weekend highlighted by Formula One™’s Spanish Grand Prix, live on Sunday at 7:30 a.m. ET followed by NBC Sports Network’s post-race show F1 Extra. Coverage begins Friday at 8 a.m. ET with practice, followed by qualifying on Saturday at 8 a.m. ET.

Sebastian Vettel looks to extend his series lead after winning the Malaysia and Bahrain Grand Prixes with Red Bull Racing. Two-time world champion and Chinese Grand Prix winner Fernando Alonso of Team Ferrari returns to his native Spain as he looks to get back in the winner’s circle.

COMMENTATORS: Leigh Diffey will serve as lead announcer for this week’s Formula One race. Sharing the booth with Diffey will be former racecar driver David Hobbs and analyst Steve Matchett, a former race mechanic for the Benneton F1 team. Will Buxton, F1 insider and former journalist, will serve as the team’s on-site reporter from Catalan, Spain.

In addition to Formula One coverage, NBC Sports Network presents Stadium Super Trucks on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
