COMCAST SPORTSNET TO PRESENT SPECIAL MARYLAND FOOTBALL COVERAGE WITH RED/WHITE SPRING GAME THIS WEEKEND

ONE-HOUR SHOW HIGHLIGHTED BY EXTENSIVE COVERAGE OF TERRAPINS’ ANNUAL SPRING GAME, INTERVIEWS AND FEATURES 

RED/WHITE SPRING GAME TO DEBUT SATURDAY, APRIL 13, AT 5 P.M., WITH ENCORES SATURDAY AT 10:30 P.M. AND SUNDAY, APRIL 14, AT 7 P.M.

Bethesda, Md. (April 9, 2013) – Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic, the region’s leader in multiplatform sports coverage, will present a one-hour special, Red/White Spring Game, covering the University of Maryland’s football program surrounding their annual spring game on Saturday, April 13, at 5 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. and Sunday, April 14, at 7 p.m.

Red/White Spring Game will provide comprehensive coverage of the Terrapins’ annual Red/White Spring Game, which takes place on Friday, April 12, at 7 p.m. at Capital One Field at Byrd Stadium. The program will feature a variety of special segments on the team, players and coaches as they prepare for the 2013 season, including an extensive interview with head coach Randy Edsall. The network’s coverage will also include audio from Edsall, who will be mic’d during the game.

Red/White Spring Game will be led by Comcast SportsNet’s Chick Hernandez and Rob Carlin. They will be joined at Byrd Stadium by analysts Shawn Springs, a native of Silver Spring, Md., and former Washington Redskins cornerback, and Tim Strachan, who serves as the analyst for Maryland football radio broadcasts.
