NBC SPORTS NETWORK’S MLS COVERAGE CONTINUES SATURDAY WITH THE PHILADELPHIA UNION AT THE NEW YORK RED BULLS

Eastern Conference Match Begins at 3:30 p.m. ET

“Another mouth-watering I-95 rivalry.” – Kyle Martino

NEW YORK – March 27, 2013 – NBC Sports Network’s coverage of Major League Soccer continues this weekend with an Eastern Conference match when the New York Red Bulls host the Philadelphia Union, Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET.

COMMENTATORS: NBC Sports Group’s MLS announce team of Arlo White (play-by-play), Kyle Martino (‘Between-the-Benches’) and Russ Thaler (analyst) will host coverage from Red Bull Arena in Harrison, N.J.

WHITE AND MARTINO’S TAKE ON THE MATCH:

WHITE: “It’s too early in the season to describe this as a must-win game for the New York Red Bulls, but their desperation to collect three points for the first time in 2013 will be clearly evident on Saturday. Thierry Henry should return in attack to resume his blossoming partnership with Fabian Espindola. Tim Cahill will continue his quest to score his first goal of the season, despite a lengthy travel back from Sydney where he scored in a World Cup qualifier for Australia.

“John Hackworth’s young Philadelphia Union has quietly enjoyed a fine start to the season, and the former New York striker Sébastien Le Toux would dearly love to grab a goal or two against his old team mates.”

MARTINO: “Another mouth-watering I-95 rivalry. New York will be facing a sharper Union team, one year older and wiser under Hackworth.”
