RECORD STREAK: 18 of the Top 19 Highest-Rated Blackhawks regular season games in Network History have already occurred this season
Chicago, IL (March 6, 2013) – Comcast SportsNet, the television home for the most games and most comprehensive coverage of the NHL record-setting 20-0-3 Chicago Blackhawks, delivered its highest Blackhawks regular season rating ever last evening (March 5) -- a 7.86 household rating for its live coverage of the Blackhawks home ice battle against the Minnesota Wild.
For last night’s thrilling 5-3 victory by the Blackhawks, which added to the team’s all-time NHL record for most consecutive games to open a season earning at least one point, Comcast SportsNet attracted approx. 274,00 households in the Chicago market for the entire game and posted a 9.24 “peak” rating during the 10:00 PM quarter-hour (approx. 322,000 households tuning in). The 7.86 single game regular season ratings record on Comcast SportsNet shatters the previous record set last week on February 28 for the Blackhawks road game at St. Louis (7.54). Comcast SportsNet was also the #1 in the market for five-straight hours (7:00 PM – 12:00 AM) in a number of key advertising demos, including Adults 25-54.
