New SportsTalk Franchise available on and the Popular NBC SportsTalk App to Cover Formula One, IZOD IndyCar Series, NASCAR and More

Motorsports Journalists and Former Drivers to Contribute

NEW YORK – Feb., 28, 2013 – NBC Sports Digital has added MotorSportsTalk (@MotorSportsTalk) to the already established SportsTalk franchises on The site, which officially launched this week, will bring racing fans up-to-the-minute news, video and information on the Formula One, IZOD IndyCar Series, NASCAR Sprint Cup Series and all other motorsports racing from around the world. The site will also serve as the destination for all news, analysis and video from NBC and NBC Sports Network productions of F1 and IndyCar.MotorSportsTalk’s content will be provided by top journalists and expert analysts, including:

  • Keith Collantine (@KeithCollantine), editor and creator of the F1Fanatic blog
  • Tony DiZinno (@TonyDiZinno), who has written for RACER Magazine and has covered IndyCar and NASCAR since 2006;
  • Luke Smith (@LukeSmithF1) creator of the F1 site;
  • Writer Christopher Estrada (@estradawriting) who has written for the Boston Globe,, created the Indy Racing Revolution blog and is a contributor to IndyCar’s IndyCar Nation blog.

NBC Sports Group’s top motorsports talent will also contribute to the site, including this week’s featured posts by F1 play-by-play announcer Leigh Diffey, analysts David Hobbs and Steve Matchett and on-site reporter/insider Will Buxton.
