NBC SPORTS NETWORK TO AIR 100TH CFL GREY CUP LIVE THIS SUNDAY AT 6 P.M. ET

NEW YORK – November 21, 2012 – NBC Sports Network will air the 100th CFL Grey Cup, live this Sunday at 6 p.m. ET from the Rogers Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The game features two of the league’s most exciting quarterbacks, as Ricky Ray and the East Division champion Toronto Argonauts (9-9 in regular season) take on Kevin Glenn and the West Division champion Calgary Stampeders (12-6 in regular season).

Glenn and the Stampeders finished the regular season in second place in the West Division, and are coming off a 35-29 victory over the B.C. Lions in the West Division final. The Argonauts completed the regular season in second place of the East Division, and won a thrilling 27-20 game over the Montreal Alouettes in the CFL East Division final. This will be the third time Toronto and Calgary have met for the Grey Cup, and the first time since the 79th Grey Cup in 1991 when the Argonauts beat the Stampeders 36-21.

During halftime of the game, Grammy Award-winner Justin Bieber and Carly Rae Jepsen will perform a special concert on the field and for viewers at home. The halftime show will also include Gordon Lightfoot and the band Marianas Trench.

Calling the 100th Grey Cup will be veteran TSN play-by-play announcer Chris Cuthbert. Three-time CFL All-Star Glen Suitor will join Cuthbert as game analyst for the telecast, with Sara Orlesky and Farhan Lalji serving as sideline reporters for the game.

NBC Sports Network aired 14 CFL games in 2012, including the CFL semifinals and Sunday’s Grey Cup. The 2012 schedule included the 2011 Grey Cup Champion BC Lions, Calgary Stampeders, Edmonton Eskimos, Hamilton Tiger-Cats, Montreal Alouettes and the Toronto Argonauts.
