NEW YORK – April 11, 2012 – Day 1 – The NBC Sports Group begins its presentation of the 2012 Stanley Cup Playoffs tonight with a double-header on NBC Sports Network and one game on CNBC.

TONIGHT

The #4 Pittsburgh Penguins host #5 Philadelphia Flyers in a fierce in-state Eastern Conference rivalry at 7:30 p.m. ET on NBC Sports Network. Shortly thereafter, the Western Conference playoffs begin with the #4 Nashville Predators hosting the #5 Detroit Red Wings at 8 p.m. ET on CNBC. At 10:30 p.m. ET on NBC Sports Network, the Western Conference’s top-seeded Vancouver Canucks host the #8 Los Angeles Kings. Coverage begins every game night at 6:30 p.m. ET with NHL Live on NBC Sports Network. Tonight’s schedule (all times ET):

GAMES TELEVISED SO FAR

For the first time in the 95-year history of the NHL, every Stanley Cup Playoff game will be televised nationally. The NBC Sports Group will provide unprecedented access to the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs in April, May and June, televising as many as 105 playoff games and possibly more than 262.5 hours of programming. Games will be presented on NBC, the NBC Sports Network, the NHL Network, and NBCUniversal’s business channel CNBC in primetime.
