TERRY GANNON

Figure Skating Play-by-Play Commentator

Terry Gannon returns to NBC Olympics as the play-by-play commentator on the primetime figure skating team alongside 1998 Olympic gold medalist Tara Lipinski and three-time U.S. figure skating champion Johnny Weir.

Gannon, Lipinski, and Weir received critical acclaim for their commentary on NBCSN’s live figure skating coverage at the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics, which helped the network post the 10 best weekday daytime audiences in its history. Later that year, they were named NBC Sports Group’s lead figure skating announce team.

Gannon joined Golf Channel in 2010 as a play-by-play announcer on coverage of the PGA Tour, and also calls rugby for NBC Sports Group.

Prior to joining NBC Sports Group, Gannon covered the NBA, WNBA, The Open Championship, U.S. Open Championship, figure skating, college football and college basketball for ESPN. Additionally, Gannon was the studio host for ABC Sports’ coverage of the 2002 FIFA World Cup, 2003 FIFA Women’s World Cup and hosted the 2004 Indianapolis 500, the 2006 Belmont Stakes and WTA Professional Tennis. For three years, Gannon hosted the Tour de France and was the play-by-play announcer at the Little League World Series.
