Short Track Speed Skating Play-by-Play

Ted Robinson returns to serve as the short track speed skating play-by-play commentator for NBC Olympics’ coverage of the 2018 Olympic Winter Games. PyeongChang marks Robinson’s 11th Olympics and 10th for NBC, having most recently served as a diving play-by-play announcer for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio.

Since joining NBC Olympics in 2000 to serve as baseball play-by-play commentator at the Sydney Olympic Games, Robinson has provided commentary for a variety of Olympic events. He served as NBC’s short track speed skating play-by-play announcer for the 2002, 2006 and 2010 Olympic Winter Games and play-by-play commentator for NBC’s speed skating coverage at the 2014 Sochi Olympics. He has also called tennis, swimming and triathlon at the Olympics.

Robinson, a two-time Emmy Award winner, is currently the radio play-by-play announcer for the San Francisco 49ers, and also calls college basketball games for the Pac12 Network. He has covered tennis, including the French Open and Wimbledon, and baseball throughout his 30-year broadcast career as well.
