Steve Porino returns for his sixth Olympic assignment with NBC Sports, having most recently served as cycling reporter for NBC at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio.

Porino is a former U.S. Ski team downhill racer and has served as an on-course reporter for NBC Olympics’ alpine skiing coverage at the past four Winter Olympics, dating back to Salt Lake in 2002.

Porino also serves as an ‘Inside-the-Race’ correspondent and commentator for NBC Sports Group’s cycling coverage, including the Tour de France, Tour of California and USA Pro Challenge. In addition to cycling, Porino has been part of NBC’s Alpine World Cup and World Championship broadcasts since 1997.

A former U.S. Ski team downhill racer who also spent two years on the alpine skiing World Cup circuit, Porino hails from a family of skiers and put on his first pair of skis at age three.
