Olympic Host

Rebecca Lowe makes her third appearance with NBC Olympics, and will serve as the host of NBC’s Daytime coverage from the International Broadcast Center in PyeongChang.

Lowe joined NBC Sports Group in 2013 and serves as the host of NBC Sports Group’s Premier League coverage, including Premier League Live, NBC Sports Groups’ pre- and post-match show from NBC Sports Group’s International Broadcast Center in Stamford, Conn.

  • Serves as an NBC Olympics host for the third time, after making her debut in Sochi in 2014 on NBCSN, and serving in a Daytime role on NBC and NBCSN in Rio in 2016.
  • The 2017-18 season marks Lowe’s fifth season as host of NBC Sports Group’s exclusive Premier League coverage in the U.S., including Premier League Live, NBC Sports Group’s live pre- and post-match shows. She has interviewed many high-profile subjects for NBC’s Premier League Download program, including the legendary Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson and former Liverpool Captain Steven Gerrard.
  • Before joining NBC, Lowe served as co-host of ESPN UK’s coverage of the Premier League and FA Cup, she anchored the studio debate show Between the Lines, hosted all of the England U21 International Qualifiers between 2009 and 2013 from live on-site, plus she was borrowed by ESPN stateside to co-host alongside Bob Ley for their coverage of the 2011 Women’s World Cup from Germany then in the summer of 2012 in Bristol, CT she co-hosted the 2012 UEFA European Championship for ESPN.
  • Lowe became the first woman in UK history to host the FA Cup Final – a six-hour live broadcast from Wembley Stadium for Liverpool v Chelsea in May 2012.
  • In March 2012 during a live FA Cup Quarter Final match on ESPN UK, Lowe guided two hours of programming from a pitchside position when Bolton midfielder Fabrice Muamba collapsed on the field with a cardiac arrest.
  • Prior to her work with ESPN UK, Lowe was a presenter and reporter for Setanta Sports (2007-2009) where she hosted their ground-breaking coverage of the Football Conference as well as co-anchoring the studio show Football Matters with James Richardson.
  • Lowe was one of three BBC reporters at the 2006 FIFAWorld Cup in Germany. Also while at the BBC, she was a Sports News anchor for the BBC rolling news network, she covered the 2004 African Cup of Nations from Tunisia for BBC1 and BBC2, the 2005 European Women’s Championship for BBC1 and was a regular contributor to BBC Radio 5 Live.
  • Lowe made her on air debut with the BBC in December 2002 having graduated with a BA Honours degree in Drama from the University of East Anglia in June 2002.
