Field Hockey Play-By-Play

Mike Corey reprises his role as NBC Sports Group’s field hockey play-by-play announcer during the 2016 Rio Olympics. Corey served in the same role during the 2008 Beijing Olympics and the 2012 Olympic Summer Games in London.

Corey currently serves as a play-by-play announcer for NBCSN’s coverage of college basketball. Corey has done play-by-play for college football, basketball and lacrosse for over 10 years and has also worked with ESPN, Comcast Sportsnet, and the Comcast Network.

He is a three time Delaware Sportscaster of the Year, named by the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association (2003, 2005, 2010).  He is also a four-time winner of Best Presentation and Sports Play-by-play by the Delaware Press Association.

Corey graduated from the University of Massachusetts – Amherst in 1999 with a BA in Communications.  He was then hired as the Play-by-play voice for the University of Delaware football and basketball games on the radio for 94.7 WDSD in Delaware.  He was the “Voice of the Blue Hens” for 13 years from 1999-2012.

Corey is a native of Brattleboro, Vt., and currently resides in Newark, Del.
