Boxing Analyst, NBCSN

Freddie Roach serves as a ringside analyst for NBC Sports Network’s coverage of “Fight Night”.

A member of the International Boxing Hall of Fame, Roach is one of the most well-known boxing trainers in the world. Roach was voted “Trainer of the Year” by the Boxing Writers Association of America in 2003, 2006, 2008, 2009 and 2010.

Roach is the current trainer of eight-division champion Manny Pacquio and the current boxing coach for UFC Welterweight Champion, George St. Pierre.

Aside from being a trainer, Roach owns the Wild Card Club/Gym in Los Angeles where he fosters the development of young boxers.  Roach suffers from Parkinson’s disease, but doesn’t let that slow him down.  His doctors feel that his active in-ring training routines with his fighters has made it possible to slow the progress of the disease.  “It’s fun to be busy, because it keeps me from letting the Parkinson’s take over. The hand-eye coordination stuff that I do with the mitts and so forth, it’s the best thing in the world to fight Parkinson’s,” said Roach.
