Bill Bridgen was named President, Group Leader for NBC Sports Regional Networks, in October 2016. In this role, Bridgen oversees NBC Sports Bay Area, NBC Sports California, CSN Chicago and CSN Northwest, working closely with the general managers of each network to promote market growth and development. He also works closely with the Comcast’s Silicon Valley Innovation Center to identify synergies and new technologies to drive the optimization of the NBC Sports Regional Networks’ portfolio. Bridgen reports into David Preschlack, President, NBC Sports Regional Networks, and NBC Sports Group Platform and Content Strategy.
Previously, Bridgen served as President & General Manager of CSN New England, since 2007. There he was responsible for all areas of strategy and operations for the network, including production, programming, finance, budgets, affiliate relations, advertising sales, marketing and public relations. He led CSN New England to develop more than 1,600 hours of new original programming that dramatically increased the value of the network.
Prior to joining CSN New England, Bridgen was Executive Vice President of Distribution & Network Development, Comcast Programming Group. There he oversaw distribution of Comcast’s owned and/or managed networks including E!, Comcast SportsNets, The Golf Channel, VERSUS (now NBCSN) and Sprout. Before Comcast, Bridgen founded & served as President of HorseRacing TV for four years. He was also Executive Vice President of Business Operations at Headline Media Group, which operates the Canadian Sports Network ‘The Score,’ and was VP of Affiliate Relations for Fox Sports Net & Fox Cable Networks in Los Angeles. Prior to joining Fox, Bridgen was a partner at Keesal, Young & Logan, an L.A.-based securities law firm.
Bridgen graduated from Temple University with a law degree and Gettysburg College with a bachelor’s degree in business management.
