Kuperstein co-anchors NBC 6 News, Miami, Florida (WTVJ), at 5 p.m., 6 p.m., and 11 p.m. alongside Jackie Nespral. He joined NBC 6 in July 2005 and spent six years as a sports and news anchor and Emmy Award-winning reporter before taking on three nightly news broadcasts.
Kuperstein also co-hosts the Kup & Crowder Show on Miami’s 560 WQAM with former Miami Dolphins linebacker Channing Crowder. He was previously the host of the Dolphins pregame show.
Prior to that, Kuperstein was the weekend sports anchor at Fox Toledo News, where he was part of the AP’s Most Outstanding Sports Operation, and served as the weekend sports anchor for WHIZ-TV, the NBC affiliate in Zanesville, Ohio.
Kuperstein is a graduate of Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. He has a dual degree in Broadcast Journalism and Finance and a minor in Economics. While in college, he announced Syracuse Orangemen football, basketball and lacrosse games on the radio for WAER.
He also dabbled in teaching while working in Toledo. Mr. Kuperstein taught a broadcasting class at St. John’s Jesuit, where he got a chance to inspire youngsters and outline the basics of sports journalism.
Of all the places Adam has lived in his life (nine, to be exact), South Florida is where he’s lived the longest and that’s why he says, “it feels like home.”
