STAMFORD, Conn. – Dec. 3, 2019 – Russell Wilson and the first-place Seattle Seahawks (10-2) face Aaron Donald and the Los Angeles Rams (7-5) on NBC’s Sunday Night Football this week in an NFC West divisional showdown. Coverage begins at 7 p.m. ET on NBC, followed by kickoff at 8:20 p.m. ET from the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum in Los Angeles, CA.

Calling Seahawks-Rams is Al Michaels (play-by-play), in his record 34th season as the voice of the NFL’s premier primetime package; 16-time Emmy Award-winner Cris Collinsworth; and three-time Emmy Award-winning sideline reporter Michele Tafoya. Three-time Super Bowl referee and SNF rules analyst Terry McAulay joins Michaels and Collinsworth in the booth.

Earlier in the season, in Week 5, the Seahawks narrowly beat the Rams, 30-29, in a back-and-forth affair which featured six lead changes and ended as Los Angeles kicker Greg Zuerlein missed a potential game-winning field goal with 15 seconds remaining. In the matchup, Wilson threw four touchdown passes for the Seahawks and Rams running back Todd Gurley recorded two touchdowns on the ground for Los Angeles.

The Seahawks clinch a playoff berth with a win or tie against the Rams this week, after they extended their winning streak to five games last night with a 37-30 victory over the Vikings. Wilson leads the league with 26 passing touchdowns and commands a high-powered offense that ranks third in yards per game (390.3). Chris Carson and Rashaad Penny form a rushing tandem that ranks third in the league in yards per game (143.7), while linebacker Bobby Wagner is tied for second in the league with 115 total tackles and leads a Seahawks defense that is third in the league in total takeaways (27).

Eight of Seattle’s ten wins this season have been decided by seven or fewer points, the most such wins in the NFL. The Seahawks travel to Los Angeles this weekend looking to remain the NFL’s only unbeaten road team (6-0 this season).

The Rams enter Week 14 following a dominant victory, 34-7, over the division-rival Cardinals last week. Quarterback Jared Goff passed for 424 yards and two touchdowns, and wide receiver Robert Woods registered a career-high 172 receiving yards in the win. Since entering the league as a first-round pick in 2014, defensive tackle Donald leads the league with 114 tackles for loss, and is tied for second in sacks (69).

Mike Tirico will host Football Night in America at 7 p.m. ET alongside Hall of Fame coach Tony Dungy, two-time Super Bowl champion Rodney Harrison, NFL Insider Mike Florio and former NFL quarterback Chris Simms. Liam McHugh will co-host Football Night in America on-site from the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.

NBC’s coverage of Sunday Night Football is led by executive producer Fred Gaudelli and director Drew Esocoff. FNIA begins every Sunday at 7 p.m. ET, and is produced by Rob Hyland and directed by Mike Sheehan.

2019 NBC SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL SCHEDULE
*Sun. Dec. 8 Week 14 Seattle Seahawks at Los Angeles Rams
*Sun. Dec. 15 Week 15 Buffalo Bills at Pittsburgh Steelers
*Sun. Dec. 22 Week 16 Kansas City Chiefs at Chicago Bears
*Sun. Dec. 29 Week 17 TBD

*Flex Week

FLEXIBLE SCHEDULING: Flexible scheduling will be used in Weeks 11-17. Additionally, in Weeks 5-10, flexible scheduling may be used in no more than two weeks. In Weeks 5-16, the schedule lists the games tentatively set for Sunday Night Football on NBC. Only Sunday afternoon games are eligible to be moved to Sunday night, in which case the tentatively scheduled Sunday night game would be moved to an afternoon start time. Flexible scheduling will not be applied to games airing on Thursday or Monday nights.

A flexible scheduling move would be announced at least 12 days before the game. For Week 17, the Sunday night game will be announced no later than six days prior to December 29. The schedule does not list a Sunday night game in Week 17, but an afternoon game with playoff implications will be moved to that time slot. Flexible scheduling ensures quality matchups in all Sunday time slots in those weeks, and gives “surprise” teams a chance to play their way into prime time.
