STAMFORD, Conn. – Oct. 29, 2019 – NBC Sports presents this week’s edition of Wednesday Night Hockey featuring a Western Conference matchup between the defending Stanley Cup Champion St. Louis Blues and Zach Parise and the Minnesota Wild at 8 p.m. ET on NBCSN.
Tonight’s matchup features Steven Stamkos and the Tampa Bay Lightning facing off against Kaapo Kakko and the New York Rangers at 7:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN.
Kathryn Tappen will host Wednesday’s coverage on NHL Live alongside analysts Patrick Sharp and Keith Jones and NHL insider Bob McKenzie. Paul Burmeister will anchor tonight’s studio coverage with Jeremy Roenick and Sharp.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT HOCKEY – WILD-BLUES AT 8 P.M. ET ON NBCSN
The defending Stanley Cup Champion Blues (6-3-3) handed the Detroit Red Wings their eighth straight loss on Sunday when the Blues won 5-4 in overtime behind two goals and two assists by Ryan O’Reilly. Minnesota (4-7-0) was victorious on Saturday, defeating the Los Angeles Kings 5-1 to register their third win in their last four games. The Wild face the Stars in Dallas tonight.
Play-by-play commentator John Forslund, analyst Mike Milbury and ‘Inside-the-Glass’ analyst Brian Boucher will call Wild-Blues from Enterprise Center in St. Louis, MO.

On Saturday night, the Lightning (5-3-2) lost in overtime 3-2 to the Predators, but Steven Stamkos (5g/6a) added to his early season point total, netting a second period goal. Free agent signee Artemi Panarin (5g/4a) leads the Rangers (3-5-1) in goals scored.
Brendan Burke (play-by-play) and Emmy Award-winning ‘Inside-the-Glass’ analyst Pierre McGuire will call Lightning-Rangers from Madison Square Garden in New York, NY.

During this weekend’s coverage of the Breeders’ Cup World Championships, Eddie Olczyk, who serves as an NBC Sports analyst for both hockey and horse racing, interviews Colorado Avalanche defenseman Erik Johnson, owner of multiple horses expected to run in the Breeders’ Cup.
Live racing coverage of the Breeders’ Cup begins this Friday, Nov. 1, at 4 p.m. ET on NBCSN, followed by 4.5 live hours on Saturday, Nov. 2, beginning at 3:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN, and continuing on NBC at 8 p.m. ET.
