STAMFORD, Conn. – September 11, 2019 – NBC Sports’ coverage of the Vuelta a España – the final Grand Tour of 2019 – continues this week with the final stage. Live coverage begins on NBC Sports Gold’s on Sunday, September 15, at 10:45 a.m. ET. Live TV coverage begins Sunday at 1 p.m. ET on Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA.

The final Grand Tour of 2019 – after the Giro d’Italia and Tour de France – the Vuelta consists of 21 stages and covers more than 2,000 miles through Spain. The race began in 1935, and has been held annually since 1955, passing through the Spain’s mountain ranges and finishing in Madrid (this year’s course also crosses into France). Heading into tomorrow’s stage 13 competition, Slovenia’s Primož Roglič (Team Jumbo-Visma) leads the field, followed by 2009 Vuelta winner Alejandro Valverde of Spain (Movistar Team).

WORLD PARA SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIPS – LONDON, ENGLAND

OLYMPIC CHANNEL: HOME OF TEAM USA CONTINUES LIVE COVERAGE TODAY AT 1 P.M. ET

Approximately 600 swimmers from 60 nations are competing at the World Para Swimming Championships in London this week, in the same venue used for the 2012 Olympics and Paralympics. Four-time Paralympian and 13-time Paralympic gold medalist Jessica Long headlines the Americans in the field, along with world champions McKenzie Coan, Sophia Herzog, Becca Meyers, Colleen Young, Robert Griswold and Lawrence Sapp.

GYMNASTICS WORLD CHALLENGE CUP – PARIS, FRANCE

OLYMPIC CHANNEL: HOME OF TEAM USA PRESENTS TV COVERAGE BEGINNING SUNDAY AT 8 P.M. ET

The gymnastics World Challenge Cup continues in Paris, France, with the penultimate stop of the series before the World Gymnastics Championships in October. No Americans are expected to compete in Paris, though 44-year-old Oksana Chusovitina of Uzbekistan will. The 1992 Olympic gold medalist is pursuing her eighth Olympic berth.

OlympicChannel.com and the Olympic Channel App will present live coverage of the apparatus finals Sun, Sept. 15, at 7 p.m. ET. Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA presents TV coverage of the apparatus finals on Sun., Sept. 16, at 8 p.m. ET, and Mon., Sept. 17, at 8 p.m. ET.

CYCLO-CROSS WORLD CUP – IOWA CITY, IOWA

LIVE COVERAGE BEGINS ON NBC SPORTS GOLD SATURDAY AT 4 P.M. ET 

The UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup season kicks off in Iowa City, Iowa, with the 2019 Jingle Cross. Cyclo-cross, a non-Olympic discipline, combines cycling, steeplechase, and NASCAR all into one, with athletes racing around a circuit course with steep hills, difficult descents, mud, grass, sand and dirt. Americans Kaitie Keough and Katie Compton finished second and fifth, respectively, in last year’s World Cup standings. After Iowa City, the nine-stop circuit will continue in Waterloo, Wisconsin, on Sept. 22.
