STAMFORD, Conn. – August 8, 2019 – Newly-acquired Chelsea player and United States Men’s National Team star Christian Pulisic chats on the pitch with former USMNT player Kyle Martino as he heads into his first Premier League season, highlighting NBC Sports’ coverage of the 2019-2020 Premier League season – which kicks off tomorrow, Friday, Aug. 9 at 2 p.m. ET on NBCSN.

The 20-year-old Pulisic, a Hershey, Pa. native, who became the most expensive American soccer player in history after completing a transfer from Borussia Dortmund to Chelsea in January, is expected to make his Premier League debut on Sunday when the Blues take on Manchester United at 11:30 a.m. ET on NBCSN and Telemundo. NBC Sports’ expansive coverage of the 2019-2020 Premier League season will continue to innovate across all platforms.

It all begins tomorrow, as Liverpool host newly-promoted Norwich City at 3 p.m. ET on NBCSN and Universo. Premier League Live begins tomorrow at 2 p.m. ET on NBCSN, featuring commentary and discussion from NBC Sports’ Premier League broadcast team on-site at Anfield.

Following are new and expanded aspects of NBC Sports’ Premier League coverage for the 2019-2020 season:




    • The entire announce team is working together on-location in the U.K. for the season’s opening weekend beginning today, August 8 through Sunday, August 11

      • Extensive Premier League coverage will be presented from match grounds in the U.K. over the season’s opening three days, featuring on-site studios for pre-match, halftime and post-game shows as well as pitch-side locations





      • NBC Sports earlier today produced its first-ever telecast from Sky studios in the U.K. as it presents today’s Premier League Live: Transfer Deadline Day on NBCSN





    • Expanded weekly Sunday prematch show, increasing to two hours from 7-9 a.m. ET; Now Premier League weekend coverage starts at 7 a.m. ET on both Saturday and Sunday





    • New match broadcast window kicks off at 2:45 p.m. ET on select Saturdays





    • Increased content from and synergy with Sky Sports

      • New graphic look within the broadcast and in studio





    • Broadened NBC Sports Gold offerings, including full event replays of all 380 matches and an unprecedented suite of shoulder programming with Sky Sports content

      • NBC Sports Gold debuts upgraded “Premier League Pass” and new “Premier League MatchDay Pass” with both offerings featuring 140 exclusive live matches and at least four live matches per club





    • Expanded suite of original YouTube content

      • Includes the new original series “CROSSROADS,” which debuted yesterday on YouTube.com/nbcsports and will feature new episodes every Saturday for eight consecutive weeks

Premier League games on NBC and NBCSN will be streamed on NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app — NBC Sports Group’s live streaming product for desktops, mobile devices, tablets, and connected TVs. Coverage will be streamed via “TV Everywhere,” giving consumers additional value for their subscription service, and making high quality content available to MVPD customers both in and out of the home and on multiple platforms.
