NBC Sports Presents “Radio Style” NASCAR Broadcasts for Second Consecutive Week from Watkins Glen This Weekend on NBC and NBCSN

STAMFORD, Conn. – July 31, 2019 – NBC Sports -- the home of motorsports -- continues its presentation of the 2019 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship from Road America with live coverage across NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports App this Sunday at 2:30 p.m. ET. NBCSN will present TV coverage Sunday at 6 p.m. ET.

NBC Sports also presents more than 30 hours of Mecum Auto Auctions coverage from Harrisburg, Pa., this week on NBCSN, highlighted by a pair of iconic Plymouths driven by racing legend Richard Petty.

IMSA ROAD AMERICA - LIVE COVERAGE BEGINS SUNDAY AT 2:30 P.M. ET ON NBCSPORTS.COM & NBC SPORTS APP; NBCSN PRESENTS COVERAGE AT 6 P.M. ET

All four classes of the IMSA WeatherTech Championship will be in action for a ‘standard length’ 2-hour, 40-minute race at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. Acura Team Penske’s #6 team of Juan Pablo Montoya and Dane Cameron will look to retain the championship lead in the flagship Daytona Prototype International class, while Mazda Team Joest is coming off back-to-back DPi wins at Watkins Glen (#55 team - June 30) and Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (#77 team - July 7).

Leigh Diffey (play-by-play), former IMSA GT driver Calvin Fish (analyst), and motorsports veteran A.J. Allmendinger (analyst) will call the action this Sunday, along with pit reporters Kevin Lee and Jon Beekhuis.

RICHARD PETTY CARS HIGHLIGHT MORE THAN 30 HOURS OF MECUM AUCTIONS FROM HARRISBURG ON NBCSN

More than 1,100 vehicles will cross the auction block at this weekend’s Mecum Auto Auctions event at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg, Pa. Among them are two of NASCAR Hall of Famer Richard Petty’s most successful race cars: The Plymouth Superbird he took to 18 wins during the 1970 season, and his championship-winning Plymouth Road Runner from the 1971 season.

Scott Hoke will host coverage on-site in Harrisburg, alongside analysts John Kraman and Stephen Cox, and reporters Bill Stephens and Katie Osborne.

NASCAR CUP SERIES COVERAGE FROM WATKINS GLEN THIS WEEKEND ON NBC AND NBCSN

NBC Sports presents its first NASCAR road course races of 2019 from historic Watkins Glen (N.Y.) International this weekend. NBC Sports will have live “Radio Style” coverage of the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Go Bowling at the Glen from Watkins Glen this Sunday at 3 p.m. ET on NBCSN, as well as the Xfinity Series Zippo 200 at the Glen on Saturday at 3 p.m. ET on NBC.

With announcers positioned from vantage points around the track, the assignments for Watkins Glen will be:


  • Main broadcast booth – Lead race announcer Rick Allen and Daytona 500-winning crew chief Steve Letarte
  • “The Esses” – Veteran MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio announcer Mike Bagley
  • “The Inner Loop” and “The Carousel” – Racing legend and two-time Daytona 500 Champion Dale Earnhardt Jr.
  • Turn 6 – 21-time Cup Series race winner Jeff Burton
