NBC and NBCSN Present Live Coverage of All 21 Stages of Tour de France

STAMFORD, Conn. – July 18, 2019 – NBC Sports continues its presentation of more than 350 hours of live, primetime, and encore coverage of the 106th Tour de France, across NBC, NBCSN, and the NBC Sports Gold app this weekend. Coverage continues tonight at 8 p.m. ET on NBCSN with Tour Primetime.
Tonight’s Tour Primetime will dive deeper into Australian Rohan Dennis’ (Bahrain-Merida) mysterious abandonment of the race, including an interview with Bahrain-Merida’s head sports director Gorazd Stangelj, who shares his insight on Dennis’ decision. In addition, tonight’s show features defending Tour champion Geraint Thomas (Team Ineos) ahead of tomorrow’s individual time trial, as he chases Frenchman Julian Alaphilippe (Deceuninck – Quick Step) for the overall leader.
Live coverage of the Tour de France continues tomorrow, Friday, July 19, at 8 a.m. ET on NBCSN with Stage 13 in Pau on the exact 100-year anniversary of the yellow jersey. Live streaming coverage of Stage 13 will begin tomorrow at 7:50 a.m. ET on NBC Sports Gold.
On Saturday, July 20, NBCSN presents live coverage of Stage 14 from Tarbes to Tourmalet Barèges at 7:30 a.m. ET, with livestreaming of Stage 14 beginning at 7:20 a.m. ET on NBC Sports Gold. NBCSN’s live coverage on Sunday begins at 6:30 a.m. ET on with Stage 15 from Limoux to Foix Prat d’Albis.
Phil Liggett, universally known as the “voice of cycling,” will call play-by-play race action for NBC Sports’ coverage alongside analyst Bob Roll. Liggett and Roll will be joined in France by former professional cyclist and analyst Jens Voigt. Voigt won the Critérium International a record five times and had two Tour de France stage wins. Paul Burmeister will host daily pre-race, post-race and primetime studio coverage, along with former professional cyclist and analyst Christian Vande Velde and American Grand Tour champion Chris Horner, who will be making his Tour de France debut with NBC Sports. Steve Schlanger and Steve Porino (‘Inside-the-Race’) will serve as reporters.
DIGITAL COVERAGE
In addition to live TV coverage of the Tour de France, NBC Sports Digital will once again provide extensive digital coverage of all 21 stages of the race.
