IMSA WEATHERTECH SPORTSCAR CHAMPIONSHIP – MOBIL 1 SPORTSCAR GRAND PRIX PRESENTED BY ACURA – SUNDAY AT 1 P.M. ET ON NBC

The IMSA WeatherTech Championship makes its annual trip to Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in Ontario, an “old school” road course that’s chock full of quick corners and big elevation changes. All 4 classes – DPi (Daytona Prototype International), LMP2 (Le Mans Prototype 2), GT Le Mans & GT Daytona – will be in action for a ‘standard’ length race of 2 hours, 40 minutes.

After numerous defeats, Mazda finally got its first-ever Prototype win in the IMSA WeatherTech Championship at Watkins Glen last weekend. Mazda Team Joest finished 1-2 in the six-hour race, with the #55 entry (Harry Tincknell, Olivier Pla, Jonathan Bomarito) taking the overall victory. Other class winners included the #911 Porsche GT Team (Nick Tandy, Patrick Pilet) in GT Le Mans; the #86 Meyer Shank Racing Acura (Mario Farnbacher, Trent Hindman, Justin Marks) in GT Daytona; and the #52 PR1 Mathiasen Motorsports ORECA (Matt McMurry, Gabriel Aubry, Eric Lux) in LMP2.

Leigh Diffey (play-by-play), former IMSA GT driver Calvin Fish (analyst), and motorsports veteran A.J. Allmendinger (analyst) will call the action this weekend, along with pit reporters Kevin Lee and Jon Beekhuis.

LUCAS OIL PRO MOTOCROSS CHAMPIONSHIP – REDBUD NATIONAL – SATURDAY AT 3 P.M. ET ON NBC

Boasting perhaps the best atmosphere in motocross, the Redbud National in Michigan is one of the most anticipated events in the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship. The track itself is also a favorite among the riders, and includes ‘LaRocco’s Leap,’ an iconic, 120-foot jump that tests their nerve.

Last weekend in Southwick, Massachusetts, Marvin Musquin earned his 2nd straight 450MX overall victory after winning Moto 1 and finishing runner-up to Zach Osborne in Moto 2. Osborne and 450MX points leader Eli Tomac completed the overall podium, while Ken Roczen suffered a season-worst finish of 9th. In the 250MX class, Adam Cianciarulo continued his dominant run with his fifth overall win in six rounds this season. Like Musquin, he won Moto 1 and then finished runner-up in Moto 2 to Dylan Ferrandis.

NBC Sports Gold will livestream qualifiers on Saturday at 10:15 a.m. ET, followed by 1st Motos (at 1 p.m. ET, and 2nd Motos at 3:30 p.m. ET. NBC will present LIVE coverage at 3 p.m. ET, with an encore presentation at 7 p.m. ET on NBCSN.

Veteran play-by-play voice Jason Weigandt, analyst and two-time AMA Pro Motocross Champion Grant Langston, and pit reporter Will Christien will call this weekend’s action.
